    I love It! I called Home Depot & they said they have that Pumie stick in stock. I can't wait to try it out & use it. I have tried everything else. I haven't tried Borax bleach & cleaning vinegar as they said that those 2 items also help in cleaning a toilet too. But I think this will kick both the cleaning vinegar's & the borax's ass by a landslide, based on this video demonstration...

    Love these pumice sticks. New client- had lime deposit in her shower. Scrubbed it with one of these and most of it disappeared. The rest was in the grout between the tiles. Use a lime away product on it and a scrub brush.

    YES!!!! I like the pumice stones with a handle meant for pedicures because they're rounded and the handle is nice. It makes a horrific scary noise, but pumice is chemically softer than porcelain so the noise is really damage being done to the pumice, not the toilet. In fact, it is disintegrating on the porcelain and I actually take a rag after I'm done pumicing and scrub a final time with the "crumbs" of the stone to really polish it up. Then I just watched "Ryan F." channel's hack on how to not have to clean toilets for a year using Turtle Wax Ceramic Sealant and that KEEPS IT CLEAN!!! Of course, then you can't use the pumice stone because it takes the sealant off, but the idea is you wouldn't need to. I haven't gone a year yet, but the week I've used it is AWESOME, and we have hard well water that is a perpetual mess that builds up a little every day.

    Great job! It is nice to know that the men are able and willing to help the women with house cleaning. They even help with taking care of the children. When I was growing up, men and boys didn't clean house or wash dishes. They took care of the yard work and emptying the garbage. There was NO WAY a man would change his baby's diaper! I commend ALL the men and boys out there who don't mind helping their loved ones!!!

    I bleach the inside of the bowl to clean it then flush it. I empty some of the water from the bowl. Put some toilet paper over the stains then pour vinegar over the paper,, then put some cling film inside the bowl over the vinegar soaked paper. Put up a 'not working' notice and leave overnight. Next day, remove the cling film and flush and the stains should wash away with a flush and a quick scrub with a toilet brush. Works great on sinks, basins, tubs, taps and faucets.

    Hard water stains. I clean my toilets weekly and the mineral stains can occur in that short amount of time. A product named Santeen worked wonders by bubbling up and removing the deposits; they must have changed the formula because it no longer bubbles up, but still does a reasonable job with a little ‘elbow grease’ and a good brush. One must remove most of the bowl water first, then pour the liquid under and around the bowl before scrubbing. Most of the water can be removed by rapidly pouring a gallon bucket of water directly down the toilet drain.

    • @jimburnsjr.
      @jimburnsjr. 7 лет назад

      4 ought steel wool is best for repairing surface rust on valuable firearms and other finely polished steel metal work.... pretty handy thing to have around... the scotchbrite steel wool pads with bleach are quite a bit more aggressive... i don't think they are hard enough by any means to hurt your toilets coating... very course steel wool probably couldn't do much if any harm.. a stone though.. i guess may.. I've never tried pumace ..pretty sure aluminum oxide could cut a hole in your toilet with enough fire power behind it... pretty nice topic

    • @texaz57
      @texaz57 6 лет назад

      Your suggestion was looking really good, till I saw acidic. We have a septic system so I have been trying every DIY cleaning product I can find on RUclips. One of my toilets has a stain I have no clue how to get rid of. I hired a cleaning crew to come in and clean my house when I started having really terrible low back problems. I noticed about a week after they were done, that the front bathroom has a stain that looks like scratches in the porcelain. I cannot get it clean. Same such problem with hard water buildup on my tile shower in the master bath. Again, I've tried everything to get rid of all that. The Vinegar + Dawn is a joke IMHO! I'm to the point that when I have to hire another cleaning crew, I'm ready to offer a $100 bonus to whoever can clean that tile, and show me how they did it. I am trying to get my house ready to sell, and I kinda doubt too many buyers want a house with baked on, stuck on hard water!

      WIKI says:
      sodium bicarbonate - or baking soda, which alkalizes the water, cleaning the dentures.
      citric acid - removes stains.
      sodium perborate.
      sodium polyphosphate.
      potassium monopersulfate - cleaning and bleaching agent.

    The Dollar store also has "The Works"....no elbow grease @ all, just spray inside the toilet bowl and leave it while you clean other parts of the apartment.

      Hope Hempstead I've tried the works on my hard water stains and it's zero effective for me :( really wished it worked like it seems to work for others. I have well water with a lot of limestone and no matter what I use to scrub with those stains refuse to be cleaned. Rubbing the brush over them it sounds like sandpaper lol they're that stubborn. I'll definitely be using this pumice stone though and hope for the best. I'm not at all worried about it scratching my bowl it's a freaking antique has a push button flusher on the side I hate that so much lol but it was here when we moved in. As long as I can have a white clean toilet I could care less about scratching my precious porcelain lol rather have it dull and unshiny than stained with shit looking water stains lol

      ... tell ya what man a very nice toilet... a full size toiled especially for men... or anyone with a handicap... in your home... is way way way underated.. it really does make life better and is a good investment .... a nice toilet.
      i once had a standard (common) toilet flushing handle break... very rare thing... only time i ever saw it happen, but was a flaw in the casting and it simply broke off one day... .i replaced it with a really pretty and expensive looking handle i think was either kholer or mowen made... and lol... it was so cool... was the classiest looking thing in the house and every time i walked in to the bathroom and saw it ... it made me chuckle a little.. lol.... a nice investment.
      if you haven't tried CLR on the mineral deposits ... it may work for you.. i haven't tried the denture cleaner idea...am going to check that out i think.
      worst thing in the world for a man is a small toilet... every time you sit down worrying about your dangly bits touching and getting extra dirty.. and if you have a bad leg or back injury... it can be pretty hard on ya too... been there..
      a nice toilet... is not a bad investment for any home.

      I agree, "The Works", works everytime with zero effort. Just pour it around your toilet bowl and thats it, it literally cleans itself. And it's very cheap compared to products that dont even work at all.

    I used flash toilet washing liquid to clean stubborn stain of water, only spread flash (blue color lid)after one hour flush, you will find sparkling toilet no need to rub.

    Never lived anywhere with hard water. Didn't realize there was that much of a difference between soft when it comes to toilet stains.

    Why do you use alkali to clean a toilet? The water scale usually dissolve in acid, and the urinary scale reacts with acid, but they dont react with alkali at all.

    I'm always curious about how many people can listen to instructions and music at the same time. I realize anyone can HEAR them at the same time, but I mean actually LISTENING and understanding the instructions AND enjoying the music consciously as well.
