6 foot tall chain link fence with barbed wire surrounds it now. There's barbed wire strung across the only opening from the ground up along the gravel/dirt path down to the water. Also a big metal gate is locked just 5 feet off the highway to prevent vehicles from getting in. I was hoping to swim there all summer but I guess not. It wasn't like this last October when I was there last. Anybody know why it's all locked up now? I haven't been able to find any reasoning for it.
Great spot to swim!
Update: unfortunately they fenced this area off so no more swimming hole.. not sure as to why. 😢
The farmers in the area would use this to wash up back in the day. (According to my 88 year old mom who grew up on a farm in Stirling.)
We use to swim here every summer.
My sister and brother learned to swim there in the 1950;s

They closed this place down in 2021 because they are scared of someone getting hurt, next is school playgrounds because someone MIGHT get hurt
Where is this place? I would love to visit
