Had, what i thought was, a home invasion at 3am one night (turns out my daughter didn’t close/latch the door all the way and the wind blew it open triggering the alarm). Took the cops 14 minutes to get to my house. This was with a 911 call stating I thought someone entered my home. Cops show up after the fact. You and only you are responsible for your safety and the safety of your family.
Response times where I live can be over an hour for police, and 30 minutes for EMS. When I had a cardiac event, it took 30 minutes to show up. I was in supervent for well over an hour before my heart rate came back down. I'm lucky I didn't go into massive cardiac arrest. If that happens, I'm a goner for sure.
In Kalispell I also had been the first responder to a car accident and it was very unexpected to see a young man loose his breaks going downhill and roll his uncle’s truck and not be harmed.

I can spend years in building up preps, including defense items, and on the first day, one lucky shot and I'm out. It's just part of what we'd have to face. But that really isn't relevant to my initial point that this world is what it is due to how people decide to act. It's my hope that if we ever reach that time, good people will still remain "good". I think that a good person will, at the very least, take no pleasure in harming someone else in desperate times. And when a guy, who is a former Seal, says his plan is to just be a predator on good people who have prepared, frankly pisses me off.
Y'all are prepping?
Highly trained marauders who think they own your preps will be a problem.
Worst pieces of shit possible
The biggest threat actually, the cowards.
Let this be a lesson to tell no one about your preps.
@@kmac9243 Yep, that is the way I understood it as well, and it's not the first time I've heard that from a SEAL. While I respect the heck out of their ability, it seems sometimes they have an exalted opinion up their own capacity and some of them think the rest of us are just hapless schlubs!
He's not better than anyone else.
He still only has 3 days without clean water. He thinks a stray piece of shrapnel won't hit him?
Karma? 😕 Wolves need a team. Tigers don't. This guy has an ego. He likely lives in a big liberal city. If he has family he has a big crutch. That's several people that need clean water. More targets to defend.

This man isn't honorable in the least. His comfortable life is underwritten by society being a certain way (as are most), but he thinks he'd thrive by being a wolf.
Exactly. Why is everyone acting like that's just normal or ethical? A moral person wouldn't go steal from their neighbors. in one breath, Andy says he'll help out anyone regardless of ideology and then in the next says he'll take what he wants from whoever has it. I’ve run across a fare bunch of people with that line of thinking, “I don’t need to, I’ll just take yours”.

I usually like Andy's stance on a lot of issues, but him saying I'll just take what you got when the time comes and then in the next sentence say you shouldn't hate your neighbors and want to help people is really conflicting
I have a feeling he'd say he was mostly joking if they pressed him on it but when it comes down to it there aren't many people that wouldn't do that when it comes to actual survival. Harry - You're right. He slipped.
No one with a conscience would say that. No human with a heart would promote such a concept. It tells exactly who he is. That's the great thing about time. Eventually the monster comes out. It just takes awareness and time. But you have to have your eyes open.

Exactly. ButI hate that we’re not doing anything about them.
But "those whose politics are different" are the people who vote to put those elites in power. They are also the "soldiers, police, censors, agitators, useful idiots" of the political elites.
To get to the "elites" you have to get through their bodyguards and layers of loyal servants.
I’m always baffled when politicians are referred to as “elites.” There’s absolutely nothing elite about any of them. When did this “elite” terminology start?
