Take it from a law student myself. You need law in life so you can have structure to base your decisions amd reasoning. All laws are subject to change. Especially the ones we consider passed through legislation. They are ammended or so once every few decades to suite change in society. Case law evolves over time setting precedent and classifies what dicta or ratio can be applied. The principles of law are what really matter because they help tell us or let us know what we can apply for any issue. Law is important. But study law enough you begin to get lost in a sea of books spanning decades and centuries. Yeah no one wants to know why a judge allowed a woman to recover compensation from drinking ginger ale back 100 years ago that had a snail in it unless you are me (Because the company in Donoghue v Stevenson owed a duty of care to their neighbour). The real issue you get is this: what laws are important? Otherwise, aren't we all just following whatever random rule cooked up by people wearing wigs sittig behind benches or elected into office?
Answer: the Holy Bible is the single most important book you will ever come across. 1. It never changes - so it has written down values that all humans in in every generation will ever be born to learn and follow. 2. It answers questions only we would ever ask from our deep soul and makes it all plain and clear - it has examples from normal peope who faced problems and overcame them but the way they managed it we can reflect it on ourselves and apply how to win in our own life. 3. It will tell us things only it can say that no other book can provide because of which the true original author and writer really is - even if it was compiled by people they were led by God who worked through them and also shows us that we can all be a part of something so greater than our own selves. The Holy Bible speaks about the past present and future. It is so important because you can read it again and again and still get so much information. But someone around the world might read the same verse and they reflect something new. Both times the different people still apply God's word in life. 4. It will always speak the truth for us - the Holy Bible is present in all types of languages and even in soft copy so that must mean it is so much in demand for people to want it meaning it has something of value, i wonder what that must be for you? 5. It reminds us that with all the rules in life and powers of this earth but nothing can remove it - think of how many lives the words of the Holy Bible has changed. How could these people have been if there was nothing like that book to be present? Could you think of another book shared that would have that much impact? Short answer there is none other.
I just gave you what I think. In essence the importance of the Holy Bible is that it reminds us that our creator loves us. Don't let anyone or anything let you believe you are worthless. Be patient and you will be calm enough to handle what ever it is God is giving you. The Holy Bible has the valued life and teachings of Jesus Christ. When you apply what he did and say in your life you are making a way to dominate in some area of your life that doesn't want to let you succeed. The Holy Bible is my no.1 book for self-improvement long before it became mainstream. It is my no.1 guide to navigating my path in life long before mind-mapping and record databases were a thing. It is my no.1 source of creative spontaneous awareness long before enlightenment was properly defined. If this life was a game or simulation then consider the Holy Bible as a health pack or a guide from the boss to let us noobs level up to join his clan. The importance of the Holy Bible will always and only be cherished by someone who knows how dreadful life is without it. And I am thankful it is here.

Can you please explain mark 16 9-20 and why it wasn't in original manuscripts?? I believe there is a plausible explanation but I'm not sure and haven't studied it enough

Hi. This is a very complex subject. The best summary I could give is that those specific 11 verses are not found in our earlier manuscript of the gospel of Mark. It if found much later in later manuscripts. It is probably not something Mark originally wrote down in the 1st century. Hope that helps!

I believe God exists but I do not believe he is good and I am not sure if he's the God of the Bible. All I know is I'm not believing that the God of the Bible is an all good and loving God who doesn't want anybody to go to hell until he literally tells me he loves me just one single time.
Seriously that's all it would take. I just want to have a dream where God talks to me in such a profound way or a near death experience where God can tell me he actually cares about me because any other way is seemingly impossible for him since he hasn't done it yet. It's just so pathetic that this God of the universe that can do anything literally does fucking nothing
I mean shit even Paul one of the greatest apostles contradicts what God says. He says multiple Times that he wishes that people would stay celebrate and unmarried But then jesus is like oh no reproduce and have kids and be plentiful 😂 So what the fuck am I supposed to get out of the Bible when I read it besides just apparent contradictions 😂
