The area where the controls are situated is known as the drivers desk. These look very similar to the GE Class 70s I drive. I wish there was a version that simulated generic UK built locos.

Hello, I need help please. I also got the Raildriver Desktop but I can not handle it. installation and calibration has everything worked but takes the electric locomotive or Ice only the directional controller, light and windscreen wipers. The gas does not respond to gas and brakes. But everything worked for Diesel Lok.
Does anyone know where or what the mistake is? I would be very grateful for a helpful answer
Lol, funny video. I know this video is fairly old but in Alabama, we call the controls the console. We sit inside the cab.
You’re correct on the reverser part, dynamics and the braking can be easily understood. There are 3 types of braking 1 being the dynamics, then you have your automatic braking = Train Brakes and then your independent braking we normally just say “independent” when doing a brake test. = Locomotive brakes.
Cool video, i have been tempted to get one of these just to help me learn and get an edge before i take off to engineer school which will be years from now 😂. 5-6 years

The emergency brake kicks in after a minute of not cycling one of the controls, like a dead mans switch , lets the train know your still alive and hadn’t died from a stroke or heard attack
Great video. That alarm going off before speed restrictions or yellow/red lights is the AWS going off. It can be reset using the Q key on the keyboard (or like you did by clicking on the "!" button).
Question: is there no button to reset the alarm on the raildriver controller? Thinking of getting one, but only if I don't have to reach for the mouse or keyboard every time the warning sounds. Thanks.
Yes there is. I didn't realize it, but I could of used the "Alert" button for the alarm.

but why did the train go into emergency he acknowledged the aws which should have alowed him to keep going

When you start the train, to want to put the throttle to 100% straight away, those trains were designed with better acceleration for a reason.

Raildriver is for experienced users. That train is not "diesel". The AWS is on uk routes and you need to press it in 4 seconds or the emergency brakes operate.
For sure....but if I'm going to learn this game, might as well learn it with the proper controls!
Of course! There is no problem to learn the game, but in my opinion you should first learn a little about the game itself and how trains works (for example, how signalling works, reading the manuals, etc) and then try the raildriver.

this is more british diesel(freight) and american does anyone know where to buy these and if so can you get them in an english diesel/electric(passenger)

It’s very expensive, I think I’ll build my own with a controller build kit. It’s a really nice controller and worth every bit it’s price. I just wish I had a little more money to throw at it.

Are you trying to connect to the 2017 version?
There was some driver setup prior to launching the game, so it's hard to advise you, but I would recommend moving to a newer version of the game as it helps support the controller more natively.

@@lazeranimatez6546 Hummm......the first thing to do is make sure the drivers for the Raildriver are installed first (visit the Raildriver website to get the current ones), then plug the controller in, then launch the game. If the game isn't detecting the controller, either you have an issue with the controller or usb ports on your system.

Actually there are training modules.....
Too bad they decided to skip the support for this and track IR5 in TSW. That sim is utter garbage in its current state and they have balls to sell it for 40$!!!!
