Great video! I’m just getting into the sport and Denali is my holy grail with a target of May/June 2025. How was the trek up? Base to summit, it’s the largest mountain in the world with roughly 18k vertical feet to the summit and brutally cold temps even in the summer. How were the temps and winds while you were there? Thanks!
Hi mad hatter, thanks for that, it was great to make it and something to remind us of the trip. Yeah the trek up was amazing, tough at times, cold as hell on some days and incredibly beautiful all the time 😍 Winds and temps varied but all in all we got lucky with our weather windows. We checked the weather regularly and it maybe hit -40 on one of the nights. Make sure and train really hard before you go ….. best of luck 💪
I’ve not done either of those expeditions, but I’d imagine it’ll be a jump in difficulty Jeffrey, but not unachievable if you’ve took you’re training seriously. It took us a lot of time to plan the expedition, but there was just 2 of us on the team and we done it without a guide. Are you thinking of doing it with a guided group?
I see Denali climbing video, I like Denali climbing video. Congrats on the summit!
Thanks for that Ian 👍
Absolutely awesome effort from you both, cracking job of the video too Kris
Thanks for that Kenny, much appreciated 😃
Brilliant! well done the Ayrshire boys.

Tom says what an achievement looks brilliant but goat fell enough for him❤
😂 thanks Shazza, glad you both enjoyed it 👍 x
Congrats on the summit! Was wondering if your finger fully recovered from the frost bite?
Hi Ted, thanks for asking, both my middle fingers were black but thankfully they both fully recovered 100% 😃
@@kristoffmac Happy to hear that thank you!
Have you been to the highest points in any other states?
Question. I’ve done Everest base camp and Kilimanjaro. This is something i have in my scopes. Is this outside of my range at the moment?

@@kristoffmac yeah i was going to go guided and maybe ported pending the cost.
