- I've bumped baits under and around barges before, but this is the first time I've ever anchored above them and casted baits underneath. It was perty neat that I caught fish and even cooler that I got me a dandy!

Man here in NE I have a dam that loads up with unlimited goldeye. I’m gonna try to fish one live this fall for flathead, can’t wait. They are pretty big like 12-15”ers would be exciting

Grain barges always hold a lot of fish. Not sure if that’s what those were or not, but if you see a grain barge you can almost guarantee there will be catfish around them.

I like that Citrix reel and rod. I’m guessing it’s a 7’6” medium heavy rod? Pretty sure I’m gonna start referring to my coworkers as river eats with no explanation given.
Haha that's great. The rod is actually a medium. Keeps me on my toes when I hook a good one.
First: the evil giggle at 19:40...you are my people. Second: Dumb question Du Jour, why do the drift sock need a buoy? I understand it for my kayak anchor, I can disconnect and come back to it etc... Is it to keep it near the surface?
Haha that's funny. As far as the drift sock goes, I'm not positive, but I assume it's to keep it at the surface and less likely to hang up on anything on the bottom.

Goldeye and Mooneye are excellent. We use alot of live drum and carp under them barges. You can bounce cut bait alot farther under them barges with 3/4 and 1/2 ounce weights weve found. We would have loaded up them eater flatties for the freezer 🤠. You're gaining. Awesome vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏🏻
Current was so slow I couldn't even get a 1/4 to slide under them. Drought is getting gross. I had a hell of a day on the crick today though. 5 biggest weighed 265. I felt spoiled to say the least. I appreciate the hell out of all the support. I mean it.

@RiverCertified it's all good in slow water and slack water just can be a bad deal in sweep current. If any boat troubles current could suck boat under a rake barge
