      Yes thanks indeed! I've been growing in an open room for years. I do well but recently saw my first 4x4 tent in action. Same dirt, same fertilizer, same city water. I use 2 ts1000 he uses 1 tsw2000. He grows fewer plants the same length of time as I do and gets more dry flower than me! I'm getting a 4x4 and light for Xmas this year!

    I've been, for lack of a better term, an Outlaw Farmer for over 40 years now and growing weed is absolutely the most rewarding hobby I've ever had. I love your show and if I'm going to be home for more than an hour you're on my TV. I am mostly experienced with growing indoors, I live in Maryland and they just LEGALIZED in 2023. You're only allowed to grow two plants, unless you have a medical card then you can grow 4, which is just assinine. Who is going to go through all of the work and expense of setting up a grow for 2 plants?!?!? So even though they're trying my state has a long way to go. Thanks for making such an informative and interesting show for us weed growers to keep up to date in the latest grow equipment and techniques.😊

    Hey man, just gotta say… I really appreciate your always having a variety of topics and folks with different grow styles on. So many threads/grow journals are so pretentious and take a black and white/right or wrong approach. Your channel helps educate us to try a variety of methods and develop our own personal styles. And your guiding the convos without bias to allow someone to share their gifts really puts it over the top. Thanks for keeping it free!

    Love how Northern scrogger touched on, letting the flowers hang in the drying room and cure in the same place. Up to 2 months. I accidentally fell into this rabbit hole last yr. And it works fricken great. Quality buds are always sticky, nose on fir and taste on point. Never bagged for 2 months. And I thought I lost them. But like I said it works. No burping, no jars no bags. Until it cures on the branch for 2 months after drying.

    I'm on my 2nd scrog, loving it so far. I can't compare my results to anything so can't comment on yield etc but it does make lighting easier, especially with led boards. I use some old fencing as it's strong and I can really train the plants around it. It's hanging up on ropes with hooks so when I harvest I just cut the branches, remove the pots and flip the mesh over to hang and dry. Nice and easy.

    Off too my local Home Depot to pick up some pvc , box of screws and some twine 😅 I have been using the grove bags going on 2 years now and yes the heat seal will definitely help the cure and maintain the humidity inside the bags, I have found after keeping bags stored for months the buds will eventually start to slowly dry! Also have had to burp my bags when the buds aren’t completely dry down to proper RH, keep bringing the heat brother 🔥

    • @fyre1borne
      @fyre1borne 2 года назад

      You don’t have to use screws, you can drill holes also. I measured 2 inches apart, drilled holes. I weaved the twine left to right first. Then went up and down second. It kept the stalks from being able to “push” the net up. Just make sure the tension when wrapping is taunt and you will be good to go. Side Note: I didn’t think of it, but get 4 way connections as he suggests. If you need to build a second trellis net on top of it, it allows for that.

    Honestly, I have had excellent results with Grove Bags and have a QP of RocBud Purple Dodgers curing after a proper dry for 10 months now. I’ve had outstanding results, the flavor profiles really matured over time-> after the dry the smell has gone from artificial grape with strong fuel after notes -> 4 months later I open the bag and was hit with alcoholic/grape/berries/fuel notes with a hit of sweetness/fruit-> to now 10 months later to more of a complex swirl of spices, tannins and light turpentine notes. I have four more harvests maturing now and am thankful it’s not all in jars. But I understand not everyone is into it and that’s cool. Buds always looks cool in clean jars when you crack that closet or wine fridge open.

Just essentially to fill out the entire trellis?

      @Johndoe I have multiple different grows and systems. I try them all. And try to improve on each new grow.
      I have a buddy that I help. He has them all going at the same time. Depends on each person's time to invest and interests.
      In the end- it's about improving and learning from everything. ( for me)
      So sticking to one grow type. Is a misrepresentation of proper advice without knowing the full amount of interest/time given by each individual grower situations.

    I have used a different technique for drying and curing for a long period of time now. It did not involve using glass jars or the new grove bags and when compared to the glass jars it performed much better imo. Recently I tried the grove bags and was not overly impressed, but did think they performed better than the glass jars. So to be fair I’m gonna heat seal the bags next run as I think they offer potential. Also the next time drying and curing comes up in conversation I will explain what I’ve been doing for years that I think is the best method I’ve found to date for not only the dry/cure , but long term storage. Thanks Chris, another good interview, keep ‘em coming

    The heat seal thing sounds like something a salesman would say to get you to buy more bags 🤣

      Did a cure without sealing, tasted better after storing in jars for a week, the bags draw the water and odors out, cure 2 weeks in bag then 1 week in jar no burping necessary, super frosty buds no mold even though it was basically an oz of bud caked together

    I like to make a three row scrog system for my tent. Make a frame out of pvc and use small square netting like 2 inch or 3 inch for my first layer, then a 4 inch net in the middle and if needed a 6 inch net on top to keep my plants spread out as much as possible and have an exact spot for each branch or bud to be out of the other buds way of light. You also keep your canopy a lot more even this way so all your tops are close to the same height all getting equal amounts of light plus it holds up the weight of your branches and buds so they down break
