I can relate! I just bought 2 rainbow high dolls, and these dolls are not normally what I collect. I'm happy with the two, but the mint one you have is one that I am searching for, it being one of my favorite colors.😊 so nice to see the dolly joy you shared with us. Love that you got teal boy and Daphne too ;) I too have been tempted by play line dolls because they are too good! Most bjd collectors that I follow have fashion dolls too. Nothing weird about it at all. I mean, I wish so much that there were dolls like this when I was growing up. Rainbow and Monster High would have been my favorite! Hot water and conditioner will soften that hair right up! ASMR doll hair videos is a thing...#sorrynotsorry
I don't collect fashion dolls, though there's a curvy barbie here that's part of the crew, and a couple Obitsus, and an Icy doll. And some MH and Nanana... hmmm. I tend to go for vintage dolls at the thrift store, or sometimes plushies. I got a piggy today. Most my family has always been playline present or past.
I'm absolutely not into playline/fashion dolls (although I do admit they have cool styles), but I sooo much enjoy seeing your reactions! It's great to witness such a joy. Also, THE WALL. Fabulous. On a side note, perspective is so strange. The SD dolls behind your back seem almost as small as RHs, let alone teeeeeny tiny Aria.

Yep, I have slowly but surely moved away from BJD’s and into playline dolls. I started out with Sunny when they first came out, and then Georgia, but suddenly now I’ve become a completionist somehow and I’m seeking out all the RH I’ve missed…

I watch all the videos on Rainbow High but I have desperately tried to stay away from them in stores. I know it was be disastrous for my wallet!
