Textiles, medicine, fuel, ect for the military. Hemp was recognized as a legitimate cash crop. Also there's no such thing as recreational cannabis use. It's either a treatment or preventative. We have an entire regulatory system that utilizes the active compounds (the endocannabinoid system)
