I think it's not matter of how old someone is, it is just question about musical taste, or better to say - musical "education". For example, as a teenager I already knew Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Queen, Elvis, Beatles, Stones... I mean, i loved them and listened their songs, even some of them were old,or died, or even were split apart in that time. So, I think it's all about taste, not years. :)
Iggy Pop is a legend. It's an honor for Måneskin to record a song with him. Unfortunately, the original is much better. Damiano's voice is unique.
But importance of this song is mutual respect of Iggy Pop and Maneskin...its history for future also...The fact that he agreed to song with Manesking and enjoyed this, means he takes them seriously, in other way they woudnt do this...

I've seen a lot of criticism for this like weird mixing of vocals etc but think it's so cool to have Iggy on it!

HISTORICAL! Iggi Pop would have been never ever agreed to record with Manesking if he would not liked them. He takes them seriously, also they had much of fun me as I was reading. In addition to this - their voices are matching. Iggi Pop is 74 currently.

I suppose you never heard of the Stooges, either? The IG is a rock God, one of the last standing. Heard "Lust for Life"? "The Passenger"? How about his more recent disc done with Josh Homme, "Post Pop Depression"? Do your research. That band probably had to wash IG's car. Yeah, they wanted to be his dog.

Did you notice that Iggy keeps singing "I'm a f* monster" instead of "I'm a mother f* monster"? In the first part it's ok, but in the second part when they sing together, the effect is weird...

Not bad for a 74 year old singer. This is the fourth time or so I've listened to this version and it has grown in me a bit more. Maybe it should have been arranged in a different way. That being said it's a great singer from the past and a new band from the present: music is beyond generations. Some people seem to overcriticise a bit too much. Irony is the essence of life. If one doesn't understand that, they will miss a good point in their existence.
