Yes, please show how you built the backgrounds! I loved watching the stream videos. They give me lots of ideas for my leopard gecko friend's habitats. I plan on making mine into bio active tanks in the future as well :)
I like the look of the flat background, but my leopard gecko is a big climber and I'd be afraid she'd climb up and then fall. The other background looks great and highly climbable!
These tanks look awesome ! Trying find a good cork background for both my leos tanks but i havent found one for a 20 gallon long for a good price yet but update on my MBD gecko i rescued in decemeber i cant tell if he hurt his jaw trying to catch an insect or if the MBD is getting worse but he isnt able to eat insects like he was, he was already having a hard time with before but now he just cant so i have been hand feeding him repashy grub pie everyday i can and he is finally gaining some weight!! I really want him to get to eating insects but i dont no if he can with this jaw issue if u have any tips on how i can help that would be apperciated because im definitley trying my best 👍 and this is my first experience working with one with MBD so any advice will help
I’m very interested in seeing your background build. Also curious if you have any leopard geckos in a bio active setup or plans to do so? Trying to find the best set up for a future new leopard gecko friend
I’m really interested in how you maintain temperature and humidity. I have to redo my Bioactive fat tail tank because the UTT heat tape I use seems to dry out the soil too much. I have a ceramic heat emitter and an Arcadia heat projector but everyone says fat tails have to have belly heat. Seems like you are getting by just fine without belly heat so maybe I can ditch the heat tape?
I have the heater on the side, not the bottom. You can try the deep heat projector and see if you have better results but either way heat is going to dry the soil. Just spray the enclosure down in that area if you’re having issues
This looks amazing I want to eventually do a naturalistic enclosure without live plants to start and loose substrate the breed who I'm getting my African Fat Tail Gecko from recommended Coconut fiber once my Gecko is 12 Grams but I was wanting to see about zoo med Repti soil instead what are your thoughts?
i wouldn’t do coconut fiber. it raises humidity but almost too much. this really causes mold and are hard to clean. you can use it if you want but i personally wouldn’t myself!😉
@@haileefreeman2310 i wasn't going to use wet or damp eco earth because they don't need a lot of humidity honestly from research they do better with a humid hide and just a more arid climate a lot of people tend to keep them way to wet from what I've read and researched and from what breeders have told me.
@@JessicasAnimalFriends I'll keep my eyes out if I can find it and let you know to I've heard so many good things about it it's hard enough to find Acadia UVB bulbs like there Shade Dweller bulb
Your bioactive enclosures are so beautiful! Totally inspiring!
Thanks :)
Girl, you're so amazing at creating wonderful spaces for your babies to thrive!!!
Thanks :)
Would you be able to do a video on bioactive maintenance? Your plants always look so happy and healthy!
Your bioactives are always SO good. It's giving me lots of ideas for layouts for my next one.

I love your tanks so much. 😍 I think I'm finally going to try to build my own background in my next bioactive. 😬🤞🏽
Omg yay!!! Good luck :)

Love the enclosures! I am just finishing up my 1st custom background... ps love the frozen themed feeding song😂
Omg I love these. So jealous! Great video as always!!
Amazing enclosures as always!!
Thanks 😘😘😘
Love it💓🦎💓
I love your builds they help alot
Love the enclosures! Do the cork tiles extend all the way into the substrate or are they "sitting" on top of it?
All the way into the substrate if I remember correctly!

I will be working on arid bioactives this year :)

How old should a fat tail be to put them in a bioactive I have a baby gecko 21 grams can I still do that or should I wait
I would wait til they’re full grown
Thank you that’s what I thought

@@haileefreeman2310 what would you recomend for a lose substrate? Instead of eco earth?
I have a doubt. Do leopard geckos know it's night even though the room's light is on?
Does the Josh’s Frogs Bio bedding work for an aft bioactive as well?
I imagine so
How many bags of the hydroton did you use for the 24x18x12 exoterra?
Josh’s Frogs has a chart for how much you’ll need :) I can’t remember how much I used
Awesome! Thank you! Your video is so helpful ☺️
Let me know if you ever find Arcadia Earth mix arid substrate. I really want to try it
SAME

How do you keep your live plants alive? Lol mine keep dying
It’s a struggle lmao I recommend grow lights because everyone seems to have great success with them
