Just for fun take a few of those quarters, mark them. aka paint one side red, put a number one them etc. to track them. And just leave 1 or 2 in the coin return of 1 or 2 random games. Then see if they are found and then replayed back into the machine.

When I was around 16 man many many years ago, I used to clean a Bar Nacho's Mexican Food with the band Rajo Saphire (Small Music Venue with House Band and Dancing) every morning. On the weekends I could sometime make well over $40 from money I picked up of the floor. That was back when min wage was $3.35 and hour.... I would of worked for free just so I could clean the floor.

All my games take quarters, I feel it is part of the experience. I just feel better when I put quarters in them and hear the credit noise as your credit count goes up. Must be part of the Russian Dog things with the dinner bell. I just feels better when you play :). But still pocking for fingers in a coin return or finding a left over credit on a game is just golden when you are a kid.

Free play kinda takes all the excitement of trying to get a match at the end for a free game. Hitting one as a kid used to feel like winning the lottery, especially when it was your last quarter.

At the pinball pub that I work at, we also work on the free play/hourly rate. We get about $1 a month on Ice Cold Beer. Good times.
