the quick reaction to peel for Mercy with the E ability at 11:20 ish was huge, and Mercy's choice to drop into the abyss because they can just GA back up to Pharah and waste Genji's time was nice. good peel and good self sustain
fr that might be why they lost in the end. The best counter if you can't deal with a good pocketed Pharah, is to just bypass the pocket and overrun the rest of the team - which Cloudy seemed to be trying his best, but alas when 4 other players on his team are trying to chase a fly in the sky, what can he do.
@@Real_MisterSir I completely agree with you. of course, I'm no overwatch expert, but even I can see that the overwhelming majority of the enemy team was wasting all of their time. all of it lol especially the Genji, imo. it's the hitscans' job to deal with Pharah, and it's Dva's job too. idk what he was doing, especially in that last round, especially when he tried to blade Mercy and then Pharah in the sky?? idk man, all I truly know is that Cloudy deserved better. he deserved a more honorable death than the solo barrage lol and he deserved more coordination from his team
@@sethescope Ideally the Soldier would spend half his efforts zoning the Pharah from taking aggressive angles, and the Dva would negate a bit of the damage the times where the Soldier didn't fully manage to keep the Pharah locked down. There really is no need to go for elims on the Pharah (which most people don't understand). But the main job of the Dva in this case would actually be to enable the Reinhardt (almost like a Zarya would) and simply rush down the enemy team before the Pharah can get value. Pharah does high burst and splash, but her raw dps is actually quite abit lower than most other dps, like Soldier even. I would have gone with Mercy Lucio combo to outspeed the areas where the Pharah is zoning, and then the Mercy would pocket the Soldier while he's engaging the Pharah (and also double as dmg boost for the Genji blade instead of nano). It would be less healing overall for the main enemy frontline, but if played right (which Cloudy does) they could get more damage done than they'd take themselves and definitely get the upper hand in most fights by using good cover and clever pathing. Having a Bap is a limited understanding of how to beat a good Pharmercy. Yea it gives more zoning options against her, but the Soldier should be able to do that on his own, no need to invest multiple players for that one job - when Bap in every other regard is just hard farmed by Pharah's high burst and splash. His immo is best for stationary comps and you never wanna play stationary against Pharah in the first place. She can easily find angles to shoot down immo field, and she does big splash damage to anyone covering under it too. So already there the enemy team are trying to survive, rather than trying to win. They don't need the big aoe healing potential of bap, and amp matrix does barely anything because they can't hide behind a shield while using it (again because Pharah can so easily bypass shields, as we see time and time again here). Running a full dive would actually have been far more effective, especially considering the Pharah pocket means the other support is left alone most of the time, and so is the other dps). All in all, if they went Rein, Dva, Mercy, Soldier, Lucio, Genji - that would be a working comp against a strong Pharmercy comp. If we look at them, the Pharah can't ideally engage against 5 of them, and the Dva ensures she can't easily engage on the Rein either. Pharah gets minimal value trying to hit a breakdancing cyborg ninja, both of the supports are slippery af and not worth the effort, the dva is negating dmg both on herself and the rein, and Pharah ideally don't want to engage on Soldier in the first place unless you get the jump on him (which would be his mistake). So just by that you negate so much value potential from both the Pharah and the Mercy, without sacrificing any of your own strengths overall. By having a Bap you give one easy-to-farm target, and the Genji tuber who is hard contesting the Pharah doesn't help the team playstyle either (not against good Pharahs at least). Honestly, what we saw from the enemy team was pretty low iq for their rank, like they were trying to force meta thinking into a anti-meta playing opponent.
A few analytical notes for people to understand how he plays Pharah: It is all about zoning and creating danger zones. For example on the first attack on Sanctum where Cloudy gets split, YZNSA plays Pharah in a super defensive yet forward spot and keeps his conc blast ready to punish Cloudy if he moves either forward or back, and if he moves back that gives an opening for YZNSA and his team to take more angles. He just exists to make any sort of transitioning from the enemy team very painful/expensive on their resources. He plays from an angle where the enemy has to either expose themselves hard to reach him, or they have to attack from a range where dmg falloff is at its maximum for the hitscan players. These falloff ranges are important as a Pharah player to understand and make good use of. Another point is where he solo ults Cloudy on Village. I know Jay is just joking about it but there's multiple good reasons for why he does this. First of all, we must look at base value. He is in a position to remove the enemy main tank before the fight even properly breaks out. It will basically guarantee a fight win unless the enemy team overinvests with ults to flip it. Secondly, Pharah is a sitting duck during her ult. Usually you're expected to lose your life in an average scenario, so the best case is trading an enemy + enemy ult, or 2 enemies at minimum. So in this case he gets to kill the enemy main tank for free, and he ensures he himself gets to live because he can ult from safe cover for the entire duration. In reality, as a high level Pharah you will take any solo ult you can find if it is safe. If it's not safe you have to go for either minimum 2 kills, or as an ult combo etc. YZNSA makes great use of his cooldowns in general -or rather, he understands how to maximise uptime by not using them. For example, he uses his rockets on rooftops to keep himself floating without spending fuel or jump jet (and ofc he can do this becaues he has a pocket healer, essentially he's making the most out of that pocket as he can). Normally fuel does not replenish when you're on a rooftop, but as long as he just uses his rockets to boost himself, he doesn't even need to spend fuel in the first place. You will also see him make full use of the map and not see it as "ally frontline and enemy frontline". Instead he will just bypass frontlines as he pleases in key locations where he can quickly get around big map geometry (like a building block or major wall). This allows him to constantly open attack angles and expose the enemy team, to split their focus and exploit vulnerable angles. A Dva gets most value if she can negate a lot of damage from a single angle - so forcing her to face away from her main tank and rest of her team means she is only essentially negating the damage of a single dps. So you're trading some dps value for the enemy tank - which is a net positive for YZNSA. He still gets to poke out the dva a bit, and some rockets do manage to pass the matrix and hit the rest of the enemy team, so essentially he's just forcing them to bleed resources until he finds an opening that he can pounce on. This playstyle is very calculated and requires major discipline. You essentially have to just bleed the enemy as much as possible while not exposing yourself needlessly, but you also have to be able to switch 180 degrees in a split second when you see an opening, and turn into full assassin mode and overwhelm an opponent during a moment of weakness. Being able to switch in an instant with zero hesitation, and having the eye for when that switch needs to happen, is the key to why he is as good as he is - mechanical skill aside ofc. He is incredibly calculated in his decision-making.
Also I find it hilarious how many people in chat are pressed about a Pharah being pocketed. Never heard those rants for all the pocketed Ashe players, Soldiers, Echos, etc.

Hey, genuine question. Can you not stay completely airborne with Pharah anymore? I vaguely remember them nerfing her fuel and I don't think I ever saw YZNSA stay in the air without a slope to delay for booster CD's or landing on a platform to refuel. Is staying airborne with good fuel management just impossible?
It is possible but not realistic. If you go into a custom game/practice range you can cycle fuel and jumpjet with good management and by waiting for your fuel to refill a bit before jumpjetting but in a game you usually need to waste fuel to move around so it is much less likely to work.
@@SasquatchPJs Thanks for the info! Now that I know that, I might give her another shot knowing plummeting out of the sky is even gonna happen to YZSNA sometimes lol
Correction to player below: It is possible and realistic - if you are experienced. But not all situations allow you to just spend your resources consistently, so it's better to rocket boost yourself whenever possible - provided you have a pocket to heal you up when doing so. But yea you can still gain altitude over time by good fuel management and regular jump jet, you will gain roughly 2-3 meters per jump cycle if done right. Personally I have it engrained to match my fuel usage with my shot speed, kind of like a musician following a rhythm tool to more easily stay on beat. Basically the reason YZNSA makes use of slopes and delay this often, is simply to ensure he has enough in reserve should there arise a sudden need to spend more fuel than normal. He keeps his options open - so sometimes you will see him having excessive resources banked, and other times he is spending everything to get an edge on the enemy in terms of positioning and general movement.
Damn that air control, it seems like when he is out of hover he is still staying so far up there for so long after, what is the trick to learning that? I love the rocket jumps, I need to learn to utilize those to moving more horizontally like that too 🙂 My problem with Pharah is mostly that I play Reinhardt main and when I switch to Pharah I forget how squishy she actually is and how hard it often is for most healers to heal her when she is up in the air 🙂

its cookie, he doesnt cheat.
Damn that air control, it seems like when he is out of hover he is still staying so far up there for so long after, what is the trick to learning that?
I love the rocket jumps, I need to learn to utilize those to moving more horizontally like that too 🙂
My problem with Pharah is mostly that I play Reinhardt main and when I switch to Pharah I forget how squishy she actually is and how hard it often is for most healers to heal her when she is up in the air 🙂
Ne pas Déranger gaming en cours. nice pharah!
Love the vids but why is jays eyes always blue in the thumbnails 😂
Why doesn't that Genji switch?. He has no value in this match.
He's a one trick, can't play anything else
@@Coops321 he plays Hanzo and doom
@@ko_nte Neither of which is much better Vs pharah
so this is how i lost this game
this guy is the final boss off overwatch
This man is a beast
I love you videos so much hat I take my phone somewhere then wast my battery to watch
Didn't know jay3 used to play tf2 he should get back into it
Don't get it, could someone explain: Why is he shooting at his own team buds!?
BEST ARABIC OVER WATCH PLAYER
I always thought YZN was Surefour's other acc lol i guess i was wrong
It’s still funny anyone else gets a pocket mercy and people say they’re only good because of the pocket. But pharah mains, oh nah no one fucking brings it up
One of the greatest players in OW is YZN.
Those plays are crazy!
"Greatest"? Really
@@GameLikeARookie yeah
Tell me one other player who at least had to get 7 accounts in the top 10
@@979O you don't need 7 accounts to prove a point
@@GameLikeARookie huh? Really? then may you tell me other stuff that proves the point 😂😂😂
Yznsa is one of the greatest players of overwatch you can name any point and he’s still the greatest on it
If 7 accounts in top 10 includes top 1 multiple times dosent prove that’s you’re one of the greatest then what else proves it ?
your ethical manners or what XD
jay3 pinkji is a masters montage genji he only plays genji sometimes hanzo
And doom
Kilo and cloudy. That team was stacked
Does he ever play Pharah without Mercy?. I loved TF2 but sadly i ditched it for OW. It was my favorite game. If Valve moves the game to source 2 and fix all the outstanding issues i will glady ditch OW for TF2. It's a way better game in every manner.
Uhhh who asked?
He has a RUclips and I remember him having a video where he plays Pharah without a mercy.
Yup he did play without mercy
@@BouncyBoar me
Pinkji is a RUclipsr btw
Why is the enemy squad blue and his squad red it's confusing
Omg that would annoy the living fuck out of me playing a Phara that fucking good! Good thing I'm plat! XD
Pharah is a menace
The boop was crazy
We want you to play with him
Wow. Ö_Ö I just realized, I f*cking SU*K at Overwatch. 😂 What he does on Phara is amazing. That genji and that dva are kinda scary tho, too. What a match.
when no one notices PINKJI (makes genji montages)
That genji trolled and cloudy shouldn’t have played rein
ولدنا الاعظم

I spectated Jay3 and saw 0 hair
I spectated you and saw 0 bitches
@@Jay3 touché
Rank 1 TORB,JUNKRAT andd BASTION when?
Pharah is litterly a cheat code and that guy does not seem like rank 1💀
Pharah’s ultimate is literally a suicide button
not if you know how to use it properly.
insane gameplay
1:28 Team Fortress Classic :')
Best episode
have this guy play aquamarine
Yznsa is a beast
How are they playing OW1?
Are you slow?
Pls part 2 for yazen
I'm a soldier and pharah main so I know both sides. A good pharah with a mercy pocket is so tough to beat
I can never pull off some of these maneuvers on console. Fuck.
The dude is arabic, meaning he is playing with 150ms+ ping on EU.
So you can imagine these rocket predictions
i'm playing exactly at the same level as this guy in this spesific match
Sure
dont forget the pocket.
that character is just to good
its a good joke if it was
