Love the reactor BUT as the pressure in the canister goes lower and lower on the pocket rocket, wouldn't you just increase the valve on the stove more and more?
+Jay Nance As long as you're keeping your fuel warm, this stove should continue to perform even at higher elevations. Boil times will increase, but it still performs. If you're interested in more written user reviews you can check out MSR's website, www.cascadedesigns.com/MSR. Thanks for watching!
The reactor is junk. Don't waste your money. If overheated it will shut off the valve and this could be fixed only at factory!! It happened to me during backpacking trip and I had to cut the trip because of that. :((
better than msr windburner. i still love this stove. very fast boiling and super windproof.
The reactor burner is comparable quite correct?

how effective is the reactor at altitude? I'm really interested in one but Id like to know how well its performs above 12,000 ft.

Can you use the MSR reactor cooking system with other pots pans? It doesn't look like you can
Because of the way that radiant burner works, you shouldn't use it with other types of pots/pans. Cheers!
Wow, the riveted pressure regulator convinced me this thing is poorly made.
