  • There were only five possible suspects to the murder of an architect in a bungalow in Bournemouth in 1935: as Mr Rattenbury couldn't have attacked himself from behind, and the six year old child was quite obviously excluded, it reduced the field even further. And when one of the suspects confessed to the murder, it should have been the simplest of cases, really. But it wasn't. Someone got away with murder. The case of Rattenbury and Stoner, the investigation and subsequent trial is rightly one of the most celebrated cases in British Criminal history. It has spawned numerous books, plays, and television dramas. Here is a new take on the case...
