@@pb.alvestegui I’m pretty sure we use a 1 to 1 ratio for the not so bad costumes but for the bad costumes we use more of a 2 parts vodka to 1 part water ratio bc Jesus can those kids sweat under those stage lights and they need all the help they can get
I just bought my Xie Lian cosplay, so happy to try these tips soon! (especially the sleeves one, I have a kimono and used to do this in the sleeves but it'd be so fun to do it in cosplay too)
A tip for quick washing: Don't soak the garment, shower (with it). Put it on a plastik hanger, shower it in cool water and shampoo the stinky parts on the inside of the garment, work on any stains and don't forget the back neck. Then rinse cold and let dry hanging. While drying, pull on the fabric to get out the wrinkles and you may use hair pins to help set crisp pleats (use pins with a plastic coating, in case of cheap metal rusting). Also a straightening iron will make these pleated skirts razor sharp, just be careful not to burn the fabric and clean the iron thoroughly before and after. Spray on starch is also your friend and makes these collars pop! Oh and a wig tip I saw at a con: Sew the velvet headband with some stiches onto the wig. And you can sew/ bind together long braids with some fine invisible thread to prevent the long hairs from sticking everywhere. Ahhh, now I want to continue my Lan Wangji cos I started before the panini >v
I will be cosplaying Sha Hualing from Scum Villain, and this is the first time I will be making my own cosplay, so this helped ease some of my nerves, thank you!
i did xielian for a con recently but I couldn't get a hat in time, so i decided to make one myself. i then realized that i didnt want to carry a bag around, so i made the hat (that i would wear on the back) into a back pack :DD i hope thats a cool tip :)
Saw this video on my recommed list while trying to finish my Hua Cheng cosplay. Hopefully this is a sign that I can finish it on time 😆But I definitely need to try the vodka and water trick later
i'm getting my xingchen cosplay and the manga version of the prince xie lian Outfit soon and even tho i knew most of these it's still a helpful video 😊 can't wait to run into every wall when cosing xingchen tho haha
Im not cosplaying any Danmei characters this year (maybe next year 👀) but some of these tips, especially the wig ones are gonna be so helpful for the cosplays I am working on
Thank you that was very helpful! I was thinking about cosplaying Wei Wuxian for Halloween and this is the video i needed!! I appreciate the help and Tipps🫶🏻
I was so distracted watching you two. Stitch is almost always looking at you Kictor while you're speaking, it's visible how much love she has for you. I hope you take good care of her. I also hope I find a girl for me soon. I would love to cosplay someday, but here in India we don't dream such distant dreams cuz grapes are sour. Keep making more cosplay and TGCF videos, I love watching them. I won't mind a video on your personal life or life as a cosplayer either. Hualian Supremacy 🏳🌈🙏🙇♀
Okay, this is only tangentially related, but I HAVE to ask: how does your donghua Hua Cheng cosplay fasten in the front? I can't figure out how that front panel is formed...
I also recommend the velvet headband. I cosplay Xie Lian so it helps a lot! *But wash it first* I got a rash on my forehead after wearing it all day, which lasted for several days lol. ....I hope it will be fixed with washing or else I'm allergic haha- This video is super helpful! Thank you Kictor and Stitch!
Sadly unsuprised to not see size xxl... but with how they're robes and... flowy, under the bands, I wonder if there's a way that they could fit anyways... At least this makes it easier to resist buying an outfit that I have nowhere to wear.

i can imagine hua cheng inviting xie lian over the night before and then spending all day decorating the place even though he's only staying there for like 15 minutes
Who said i didn't do that before i got "kicked out by my family" and "accidently" met gege
The sleeve thing works cause they're always taking things out of their sleeves, from their qiankun pouches and talismans.
The vodka and water hack is used by theaters literally everywhere it works so well
That sounded interesting, do you know what ratio of water/vodka to use 🤔
