Where's the link to the sheet music, Lisa? I may be blind and it's right in front of my face in the description box, but can you reply with the link? I can build the rest on my own, but your sheet music skills are AMAZING!
@@jesavius Hey there! For this video, I just have the "sheet music" in the video, on the bottom. I didn't make a PDF with a link. Sorry, if that was confusing!
OMG! THANK YOU LISA. This has opened my eyes and hopefully some doors. Learning music theory on my own is all well and good. BUT it really comes to life when played by a great trombonist. Thank you again.
This is great. I think this is the kind of stuff I had always been trying to play in solos anyway but nice to see where it comes from . Seen a lot of people talking about these minor pentagon scale and wanted to see what it was about. I have a basically brand new Yamaha that I had bought in Cambodia and then never really played. Tried to sell it on eBay but I don't think anyone is gonna pay full price for it so I figured I might as well start playing it. I used to play in a band in Seoul and maybe I can do something like that again.
Hey Lisa, I am a former Trombone player. My new years resolution is to learn the instrument again. Being a guitarist, I want to take a shape and pattern approach. Got any suggestions? It seems like the minor pentatonic has a shape to it. I can relate to that. I know enough theory on the guitar to be a little dangerous. LOL!
I need to warm up first - then I’m definitely going to try this! Even if I wake up the neighbors, it’ll be a cool minor pentatonic sound they’ll be waking up to for sure!!!!!!!
Having going back to trombone from playing bass for years , your lessons are invaluable to me , do you any on getting the pedal notes . Thanks for your lessons ! .
Wow, thanks! Hmmm... no all out jam videos but I do have this one of some solo clips from live shows: ruclips.net/video/8K_ucBvDK9M/видео.html Or here are some from a band I used to play with in Arizona: ruclips.net/video/4zN2qAVJKFk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/oCCNpyxWQcE/видео.html
That’s ok you missed it, I did not notify everyone ahead of time. Maybe I should do premieres on more videos? 🤔 Wow, that’s so cool that you can draw that stuff! Awesome!
@@LisaLizTrombone Everybody else is complimenting your trombone playing etc. (and they're right to) So I just thought I'd mix it up a little bit to stand out of the crowd! LOL P.S. Keep up the good work. It's appreciated. P.P.S. - Trombone blues improv scales and lines ideas? 🙏

Nice❤
Huh. I wasn't aware Three Dog Night ever recorded a Christmas album. 😂
It's not as hard as some may think. The trombone has these natural lip breaks built-in, which is why she is playing f in 4th.
❤
