My Barry usually had an Infernape and I think it fit him perfectly. Fast and strong Pokémon. I would use Torterra, slow but strong in terms of defense AND attack. And Dawn would have Empoleon because, anime lol.

After u beat Cynthia 10 times( make sure it's record in your game journal) Barry's level would raise by 10 until his pokemon reaches level 80

How do you know and identify the packet sources, and how do you establish the connection, and make the packets exchange? Actually you can trade on emulators, and also you can modify your rom to level up the pokemon via trading by leveling up
