    Tart Shell 100 g butter 200 g plain flour or 1 1/4 cup +1/2 tbsp 60 g icing sugar or 4tbsp 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp salt For the Caramel 1 cup sugar 3 tbsp water 1 cup cream 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla For the meringue 1/8 tsp cream of tartar 1/2 cup sugar 2 egg whites 1 egg

    Hello. Is it ok if i don't put the meringue on top? If so do i need to bake the caramel tart again? Thanks.

    The sugar never turned brown i think 3 tbsp is too much! Also 100g of butter, is that 1/2 cup? Coz 1/2 cup is 113g.. also how long did u brown ur sugar

      +Anne Lucas sugar will always brown as long as you put them on heat

      You can but using icing sugar makes the tart shell melt in your mouth

    Sooo i tried this recipe in her description box , while i was making the caramel figured the sugar needed more water than 3 tbsp because it started to get crystallized...and mine looked so pale than hers? Prolly because she used more? Ahhhh idk this was a fail recipe for me. 😏

      First I need to know what happened? Blind baking is baking the tart shell first before putting the filling, some requires putting ceramic bids or beans or rice on top to avoid the pastry from puffing

      I put it straight to the oven after I have set them into the tray. I didnt pay attention about blind baking huhu... But thank you, I think when ever it is first time to make it, there will always like a trial and error. Thank you for the advice on how to blink bake the tart.

    US measurements plzzz, we cannot try ur recipes, we don’t have scales. Cups n spoons r what we use here in US
