I think the really crazy thing is that it doesn’t even seem like they’re trying that hard. I could be wrong, but it gives off a vibe that it’s just some friends hanging out and deciding to have some fun in a place with great natural reverb. And then they’re just casually killing it 😅 Definitely my favourite version for that reason. The amount of talent it takes to sound that good while things go wrong and they’re walking around - without a guitar strap! Also I just love that moment where the angry car park attendant shows up and Sam looks like he was about to call it there until Ren continues without even batting an eye and Sam joins in with a sort of “I guess we’re doing this then 😂” look on his face 🤣 The independent rapping rebel just doing his thing with or without all his strings 😎
I love that instead of just giving up, Ren rolled with the mischief and Sam realised he could keep going. That dynamic between them - with Ren giving him a reason to keep going - has repeated more than once. And they made it all good fun. They didn't get mad at the attendant, they made him a 'feature' 😂

Big up to the Ren team for continuing the filming and then to Ren and Sam for posting something that most artists would have trashed. It's recognizing the gold in a ess than optimal thing. Highlighting the attendant as a featured guest puts it over the top. And, then, including him as a pivotal figurine in Ren's merchandise is perfection. Somehow, there's a lesson for all of us in this little gem.

I love that the problems or “mistakes” don’t stop them! It doesn’t have to be perfect! Many of the live videos aren’t vocally perfect, and then there are ones like the ending of Animal Flow acoustic version. But all the imperfections make them what they are and it’s so good. Perfectly imperfect! A lot of us (especially me!) need to learn from his example!
