@@UsernameCantGetMuchLongerCanIt I haven't skipped any leagues, I just haven't uploaded any videos. I streamed a lot at the beginning of every league.
Here it is! The culmination of weeks of crafting, leveling, theory crafting, on and off stream testing and many hours of editing. One of the craziest project we've undertaken and surprisingly our PCs survived it. Ultimately limited by hardware either way. Thank you for everyone who contributed and thank you for watching!

I would love to hear from one of the devs about this. It is seriously incredible the game can even come close to handling this and it would be really interesting to hear about what is going on in the background. I mean this could be like a GDC talk or something... "How to build a game that can have 1million proj on screen at once" lol
Also I bet the devs love seeing these vids that empy and crew do each league. Seeing theorycrafting taken to such extremes and creating such incredible shit must be really satisfying. They created a game with SO much depth! It is (i think) completely unmatched by any other game, it just blows my mind.

@@schnitzelking1 depth from PvP games is different IMO. and I'd say the depth in most Mobas is way lower than in an RTS like SC2 or Broodwar

Hey man, I was thinking about mechanics like frozen blade that multiples proj when they hit mob, maybe there's a way to abuse it?
Despite the low FPS I feel like this is really a testament to the stability of the projectile code. Insane that it can get to these numbers without crashing sooner.
That's a bigger simulation than a "two planets colliding" one
"i have multiple frames per seccond" -> me in reallife after waking up and opening my eyes for the first time again

I think its kinda funny you can see Empy's PC handling bubble frostbolts just fine at 22:07, but the second the mtx is swapped over to black holes his PC dies in agony and the frames start skipping. Always knew some of the MTX were very badly optimized, this just confirms it I guess.
And they'll "get around" to fixing them, aka, "never gonna happen, just gib chris moony"
i dont think any MTX maker ever planned on having 10,000 projectiles on screen at once

if you close your eyes during the fireball part it almost sounds like a waterfall
22:20 Very stroke friendly material there only if it would have played smoothly.
30% of damage is taken from GPU before eyes.
In each case though CPU latency is 4+ times GPU latency. So it's more on CPU than anything else
