!!! IMPORTANT UPDATE !!! Lithium Cycles company is located in California, not Canada and all of their bicycles except for the Super 73 Z Have both throttle and pedal assist modes. We apologize for the mistake and confusion.
When was the last time you saw a person cruising past you on a bicycle with big tires , not even bothering to pedal , and you thought that riding such a thing must be a blast. It is! Electric fat bikes are an awesome way to get around the city and Off-Road. Share your ideas which one of these freaks is your favorite!
there's this dude that always passes right next to me from behind on his electric bike going 25 mph while im jogging in the evening on the bike path, very annoying, bad etiquette
@@automotiveterritory It's a shared path. They are supposed to pass slowly as far away from pedestrians as possible, not going 25mph 4 inches away from me.
Glad to give a shout out to a producer of great bikes. By the way, I am currently doing some research about newer bike models, do you have any upcoming bicycles or new models coming in 2019?
We will have a new HIGH END model, the same frame but with newest components. Also we are looking forward to get a europe wide street license for our 750W model. And we will have a mini eFatbike.
Hey, you may want to consider correcting the part about Super 73 - their bikes do have pedal assist as I own one. You do have the option to use the throttle but pedal assist is available They are based in California
I know no one will read this...it's coming 3 years later! ebikes have continued onward despite the detractors. My wife and I have new Rad Rovers (2021), and we have been transformed by using them constantly. Naysayers, let me remind you that you wouldn't be able to use your pedal-only bike without your derailer-assist. Yes, that's right. You use an assist too to get up hills and to cruise when you're fatigued. It's called a shift lever. Add to that, you get the lightest bike you can afford. Why? To make it harder to ride? For more exercise? No? Before you criticize those who use a pedal-assist bike remember no one uses all manual power on any bike. Save your fitness snobbery for the gym.
They have this bike on their website already but the additional info can only be requested by contacting them. I will try to find it out and will let you know.
If electric bikes start to take off in the US there will be more regulation. Helmets, airbags, ejection seats, licenses and so on until your back to walking.
Eway cycles also has a fat bike similar to Lithium’s super 73 and looks like they have a slight edge over the super. Better range, lighter frame and from the reviews, better response from pedal assist. Also comes with fenders preinstalled, unlike lithium which costs 130 more and is currently sold out.
@@automotiveterritory I have not had any first hand experience with either bikes yet, but I've been doing a lot of research on them as I'm looking to buy one. Some youtubers have reviewed both models so I've made many comparisons.
Can you please be more specific? I consulted their official website, when writing this. There was one issue with the info about this bike and I fixed it by sharing an update in the comments above.
it looks like you corrected a couple things, didnt see that comment but their priciest bike will retail for $3200, 2800 is a pre-order price that ends at the end of the month, and the cheapest bike is also on preorder for $950 but will retail for $1200
at 2:48 you state that Super 73 bikes do not have pedal assist which is incorrect. I believe the new 73Z model is the only that does not. All others in their line have pedal assist.
That's not necessarily true. You will have to consult your local regulations but usually bicycles with the output of 250W-500W don't need a license. It's only when you get a much more powerful bicycle, then you'd have to take care of its registration.
Good to know. I closely follow all of the electric news and try to cover everything, sadly not enough content for weekly reporting, so I try to do at least a third of my videos electric. Hope it is enough for you to stay with my channel.
Thanks for your comment. What would be the appropriate price for an electric bicycles for you? After all $500-1000 is an acceptable price for an average regular bike without a motor and a battery.
Дорогие цены на экологичный транспорт - это преднамеренное опорочивание и преступное здерживание экологичных технологий ! Это преступление против Жизни, против здравого смысла, демократии, правосудия и гуманизма .
They are 200% or 300% more expensive than regular bicycles. They are not affordable for everyone but we have to understand that such vehicles have low running costs, so you'd be able to recoup your investment pretty soon.
Your ignorant dude. What about people who have ridden all their life, love being out there but either getting older, have unfortunately sustained an injury that permits them from riding or live in extremely hilly areas that they are no longer able to get up and down the hills enjoyably to ride? Oh ya, not to mention taking cars off the road and helping our environment.
Electric bikes have their needs. For delivery riders or messengers, it can help them zip around town faster. For older riders or people with knee joint problems it can help them stay active. If it's your daily driver and you don't want to be sweaty at the office it's great for that as well. Electric bikes also have less impact on the environment. It's one less car on the road. Most electric bikes also have different pedal assist levels. Level 1 usually feels about the same as a normal bike to make up for the extra weight. There's also the benefit of less "floundering" (the wobble when you start pedaling). Bikes have the right of way on the road, so drivers prefer for the cyclist to start moving faster and keep the flow of traffic going smoother with a light twist of the throttle. I myself own both an electric bike for work, and a normal one on the weekends for fitness and photography. ;)
Now I'm starting to understand these things. Don't get me wrong, things like this cause us to move less and lack of physical activity leads to major health issues. Also being huge will limit the range, won't it? You seem to own the thing, that's why I'm asking
That IS true. The heavier the rider, and the more hills you climb, the more power is needed. A heavier rider will make it a shorter ride. But there is also how much you use the throttle and what level of pedal assist you use factor into battery life. These on average have a weight limit of more of 250-300 lbs. That covers most people. Anyone over this should work on different levels of fitness to get rid of that weight. Even a normal bike won't support them at that point.
It is soo very fun with the wind in your hair especially on a hot summer's day. Like going down-hill all the time. You can still pedal all you want. Some e-bikes you must pedal for it to activate the motor. The power assist levels out the hills which is major pain for regular riders. I've heard more than a few stories that new electric bike owners are riding their electric bicycles far more often than their old non-powered bicycles. All that fresh air and sunshine is better just by itself versus being in front of the computer or TV screen. You can't help but pedal when you're an electric bicycle as its so natural to do.
Not to mention that e-bikes help solve a really really old ongoing problem for humanity: Getting from Point A to Point B efficiently either time-wise and energy-wise or both. The problem with all-pedal bicycle is that it couples "exercise" and "transport" together. Some people may want more of the "transport" part of that equation instead of the exercise part. Coming into the office sweaty is one of the big reason cited as to why people do *not* cycle to work often or at all. There's often no shower facilities at work nor the time to do so. The e-bike is upwards 90% efficient in transforming the onboard electric power to kinetic energy. The e-bike just takes it to the next level beating both all-pedal power and plain old pedestrian walking in terms of efficiency in both time and energy. As mentioned above, you can also pedal an e-bike. The combination of human power and machine/motor power works soo incredibly well. I may go so far as to say the e-bike is practically a steel, plastic & rubber "cybernetic" enhancement to it's human symbiotic host. ;-)

Да такие Электровелосипеды очень хороши, потому с широкими колёсами можно ездить и по песку и по снегу.

Easy cheap non-regulated personal transport on and off road. A huevo !

Sondors looks good and cheap but I prefer a fat beach cruiser style
Fantic is promising though no prices listed. I’m guessing expensive Italian
