Watched the film, did what Isaw, lost 47 lbs, bp went from 146/98 to 102/68. Pre-diabetic, but no more. Can't say enough good about FOK, I'm introducing the FOK diet at our church along with my pastor's wife. They also have adopted the FOK lifestyle & they just glow! Bought many books including 2 copies of Ms Hever's book , 1 for a drawing at church. My hubby is a Fam Prac MD x 36 years, & I am converting him SLOWLY. Which considering my big changes astonishes me! Thank you so much Doctors.

My doctor prescribed "Forks Over Knives" to me as the first step in my care. He later put me on lipitor, but at a reduced dosage because I was following the diet. My goal, which he supports, is to be on the lipitor for the shortest time possible. Thank you Dr. Byrd.

I was so skeptical when I first saw forks over knives, some of the science seems iffy but I decided to find out for myself and just give it a shot. I've lost weight faster on a whole foods plant based diet than other diet ive ever tried including paleo, atkins, clean eating, etc. I didnt even know how bloated my face was until I de bloated on a plant based diet. Even if you aren't an animal lover just try cutting out dairy and most meat for a week or two and see how you feel. I'm a believer now.

"REAL MEN EAT PLANTS" is a quote from the documentary Forks over Knives.
It's when Rip Esselstyn climbs up the fire station firepole using only his arms and this is what he says with each pull.

The one thing they missed are that people who live in Northern Europe, Alaska and Northern Canada need to supplement with Vitamin D during the winter months as the sunshine is too weak to spark Vit D production in our skin during the dark months. Other than that, a great vid! Thank you Forks over Knives!!!

This sounds great, however I would love to know how to make this work in a relationship when the partner doesn't necessarily agree or disagree on this but loves his meat. I could always add more plant based products to our dishes but not sure on what all is considered processed. Is canned green beans bad for you then or canned tuna? Was looking at the FOK website and saw this dish Greek Stuffed Peppers seems decent but calls for tomato paste, isnt that canned/processed?
