it's the games where the apparent age of someone can't be reasonably confirmed to be adult who's doing sex stuff. That's where steam draws the line and they're fairly rabid about making sure nothing toes that line.

I think this one was banned during steams phase wherein they banned school girl outfits as that was their method of assuming character age.
It will always boggle my mind on what games Steam okays and are too risky to host. because there are games with titles and subject content that would be similar or beyond scope to games Steam has denied. I cant say its entirely hypocrisy because that mean its something consistent or follows logic. its more random decision than something someone approved it, I would say.

Fun fact - opening scene is a spoof on another AQUAPLUS title - Utawarerumono. It even uses it's track "Song of Grief", although shortened version.
That's right; those games were made by the same developer! I forgot about that. Sasara and Tamaki were available as DLC for Utawarerumono on the Vita.
Yeah and the develeper behind them also put out a ton of bangers back in the day such as Baroque, Riviera, Yggdra Union, Dokapon Kingdom, etc.

It's on Steam. I'm literally looking at the Steam page for it as I type this. So they may have brought it back.
But they have stuff from Kagura Games. Granted, Kagura Games requires an external patch for their NSFW content in their games, but the patch is free. Then there are *other* publishers that just plain have the 18+ NSFW in just about every flavor you can imagine, for better and worse.
Steam has a hate boner towards anime games in general. Some can make it on there and other times just banned entirely. It's very lucky based. Other times because the characters "look young", whatever the hell that means. it's so unjustified and wrong.
I guess it depends of which moderators you stumble upon. Like, Evenicle was OK, but Evenicle 2, a much milder game I might add, was too raunchy. It was released on GoG instead, which is saying, because GoG does not have policy of selling shovelware games regardless of quality, like Steam does.
I loved Dungeon Travelers 2 on the Vita. I was hoping I'd get to play Dungeon Travelers 2-2, but it never came to the States. Seeing that the first Dungeon Travelers game is available here now makes me happy. The numbering system for this series may not make any damn sense (To Heart, To Heart 2: Dungeon Travelers, Dungeon Travelers 2, Dungeon Travelers 2-2), but I'm glad to see this series is available on PC now. Thanks, Falcon!
Wow, To Heart 2: Dungeon Travelers, Dungeon Travelers 2, and Dungeon Travelers 2-2 are all available on PC for $19.99 each! For $60, I'll take these three games over any one woke-ass consultant-approved Western AAA game.

Steam really has to stop banning these types of games, they selectively descriminate against these types of games.

The hell? Why steam banned it? Was if because of the Doujin? This thing doesn't looks like have H scenes. I admit the Doujin of this game is quite something, does Steam dev read it and get disgust by it?
Weirder than that, Steam allows games by *Kagura Games* with no real issue. If you're not aware, KG publishes straight up H-games, after a fashion. You *do* need to go to their site and download a patch (the patches are free) to access the NSFW content, but it's a small patch that *unlocks* it. This allows them to sell the game without Steam getting up their butt.
And there are other publishers that are allowed to publish games with that content directly in them (such as "Karryn's Prison", "Jerez's Arena", or the two "Robo Life" games). So, Steam doesn't have a lot of consistency with what is and isn't allowed.
Played this on the psp. Don't remember it being censored, so it's sad to hear it being censored on steam.

I never get steam banned list I know there are guideline for characters, but if you game isn't like the guy game from the Xbox era. Luckily I never had the game and wasn't an xbox fan. I have seen games that illegal and banned on RUclips if your game isn't exploiting real people in the video game than it's fiction and I believe it should be stay on steam. Does this make any sense and I am clear what I meant?

I believe the Japanese release has an 18+ version of Dungeon Travelers with sex scenes. But yeah, steam has sex games but Steam has been very anti-Japan Eroge for years now. They prefer English games. And anything that has a short stacked girl or loli character type gets an automatic ban and rejection before the game has it's advertisement page on steam. Dungeon Travelers the English version is heavily censored even without the steam version.

No, they had an 18+ tag, Steam just randomly decides they don't like anime games sometimes. They've even previously taken down games like Nekopara that were both censored _and_ flagged as 18+.
Different devs, though this company used to do 18+ games. Now, not so much...

Not in this particular example - Aquaplus haven't been really working with 18+ titles since 2003 (barring few re-releases in 2012 and 2018)

Oh I didn't know about this game but will check it out. As for Steam's banning if game and inconsistent methods when in doubt just add a 18+ scene with a bear. They'll be fine with the game then 😂

Extreme raunchy content does not get a game banned from Steam. One KIND of sexual content, specifically (implied or otherwise), is the only thing they can get games banned from Steam. And if you look at the style of the character designs in this game and think for half a second you can probably guess what that specific sort of content is.
thanks i was confused by this videos title because I knew steam didnt ban things because they were horny. the only reason I knew steam would ban stuff was because it had NFTs or because it was malware. but this rule makes sense too.

steam doesn't ban games based on personal preference they must have a different reason for banning it like maybe it got flagged as malware or doesnt articulate to the consumer the ammount of hornies in the game. I could be wrong idk
