- Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has been in absolutely superb form for Exeter recently. A Six Nations call up looks inevitable, but given he's both Welsh & English qualified, which nation will pick him?

Like the look of this guy. Not just a running highlights reel. Tackles, game reads, rucking,... Nice!
The best Nigerian Welshman who plays for England I’ve ever seen!
Reminds me of a bigger Darcy Graham, lovely change of direction, good line speed and turnovers in defence and just makes more yards post contact than he has any right to. Great video as usual!
That Sarries clip in the first minute showed his out and out pace too. Jesus, I’m excited about this lad!
He’s Welsh mind ….
@@deethebee80 indeed. Let’s hope the NFL steer clear.
@@davidholgate123 😂😂
As a Welshman to say I’m gutted is an understatement 🤣😅
Agreed
I also think he’ll be wasted in England
We let you have rees zammit so it’s our turn now by law
@@luketurner2180 LRZ was born in Penarth, Went to school in Llandaf And played for Cardiff 🤔
@@rhyssimms591 sounds english to me mate
There’s more English in a kangaroo
Reminds me of Jason Robinson, shorter stride but dynamic and lightning fast, so happy Chiefs snapped him up..💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Even though he is Welsh, I kinda like that he's chosen England because thats the easiest way for him to complete his medical degree at Exeter, if he picked Wales he would likely have to move to Wales in a few years to continue rugby complicating his studies.
He isn't Welsh , he has no Welsh heritage at all.
@@neilcarpenter2669 he played his youth rugby in cardiff, played for cardiff schools at u-11s and u-15s, made his debut for cardiff blues, the first club he ever played for was Rumney RFC, a town just outside cardiff. Do you need him to be an actual dragon to be welsh?
give us back nick Tompkins and Alex Cuthbert and Jonathon Davies then just to name a few off the top of my head@@sandydragon5282
@@neilcarpenter2669born & raised in Cardiff & played all junior rugby in Cardiff
What else do you want??
Love to see him play for Wales, his heart probably wants that being a Cardiff lad. Unfortunately Wales have the cap rule. The regions cannot match England and France for salary. Wales produces wonderful players but they have to make a living. So what if they don’t play in Wales, just pick the best players wherever they ply their trade.
He can be picked for wales right now, if he agrees to move back to a Welsh club once his contract his up at Exeter. And he wants to finish his medical studies. However he has just signed a long term deal so he could probably still finish them within his Exeter contract and has chosen England anyway
@@jakeclough8090 it’ll take him 8 years to finish his education so unless he’s signed an 8 year contract with Exeter it won’t cover his studies
@@AndrewDavidForde 8 years 😭 surely not 8? Medicine can take 8 but surely he’s at least 2 or 3 years into it? I was thinking maybe another 4 or 5 years maximum
@@jakeclough8090 He's just started his first year at Exeter because he had to transfer after Wasps folded. It may be shorter, it may actually be longer as it'll be part time. The 8 year figure is just going off how long it took Jamie Roberts - I think it took Hallam Amos 10 years!
@@AndrewDavidForde yeah even if he’s transferred he doesn’t go straight back to the beginning, he must be 2-3 years into his course. I’d say he has another 5 or so years left
Can see why England want him. His defensive reading is very good. Add in he’s good aerially, physical and quick.
Would love to see a video covering the potential new pick ups for Scotland with their next round of former players or dual registered players being targeted such as:
- Zach Mercer
- Henry Arundell
- Tom Roebuck
- Fin Smith
Yes I hear Scotland have been after Roebuck, Reed and Warr
Just to make sure than there are no Scottish players in the Scottish team.
Mercer's a stretch. Qualified on residency but now he's been capped by England he doesn't qualify for Scotland even after the 3 year break from international rugby
Arudnell played for Scotland so won't be available for Scotland for at least three years.
On the grand scheme of things, back row and wingers are the least of our concerns. Really need more strength in depth in props, especially tight head. Says it all really that our second choice no.3 was a 37year old
Great all round skill set!
The auditions are over now he’s chosen England. Let’s see how he handles his opening showcase. Good luck to him.
He's saying 'Get out of my way, I want to play some rugby!'
😮 Looks like a very good club player. Is he really international material? I wonder!
looks like he just really enjoys playing the game
This guy is the real deal
Cant way to see him in six nations 2024
Swings and roundabouts, innit. Yesterday Rhys Ruddock decided he was Welsh and Cardiff lad Manny decided he was English. Watching him for four years I think he will live up to the hype and has everything needed to make it to the very top and stay there. Gutted.
Just being pedantic here but have you ever had Rhys Ruddock speak? Bloke does have a subtle Welsh accent tbf!
Talking of strong Welsh accents, my tip for the 2027 World Cup is Manu Vunipola on the loose head for Wales.
@@amwilliams9338 the fly half?!
He'd need to put on about 7/8 stone!!!@@amwilliams9338
Sorry, big family, I meant Mako🤦
I hope so!
Anyone who has been able to watch him regularly, how is he 1) under the high ball, and 2) off the ball movement / support lines? Obviously looks fantastic in highlights, but I haven't had the privilege of watching him over full matches week-to-week, so would much appreciate views from those who have, please.
First game of the season in the Premiership Cup against Bristol he did an amazing leap for a high ball and I thought "Wow! Who the hell was that?" Still has a lot to work on, but is an incredibly talented player.
Is highlights, but is looking like best English 3/4er player since Jason Robinson.
Jeez he's got some bulk for a youngster.
Not as quick as Arundell, let's hope he's actually given a chance to run, and not completely left out of the frame. No wonder Arundell left for the money.
I'd say he is based off these clips and has a much better all round game
Englishman here, think its a great shame he's probably picking England. Wales need the players so much more, and the quality of the six nations as a tournament depends on there being proper competition.
We have Adams, LRZ and Dyer, Grady and Giles. Other than Arundell who isn't allowed to play for England anymore who else do they have on the wing thats knocking on the door? 😂
@@xxwales15xx33 well Grady is about to abandon ship so good luck with that
@@matthew3078 Yep, don't blame the guy pro rugby is a very short career
More of a Jack Nowell / young Yarde than the out and out gas of Arundell. Would still like to see Arundell ahead this year for England then he can go on Lions then move back to UK before World Cup . Next year when Arundell is not available this kid can step in with some more experience.
Arundell is ineligible for the Six Nations because he agreed a new contract with Racing. I know they said before that wouldn't be the case but not like Bill Sweeney to not keep to his word!
@@AndrewDavidFordeNo you are incorrect the RFU gave him special dispensation for this season's 6 nations if he returned after one year however he chose to extend his contract by another two years making himself ineligible , Sweeney was very clear on the policy of the RFU and has kept his word .
God I hate that Welsh rugby is so in the pits right now! Got an electric player like this who is through and through Welsh and he would rather play for England. Gutted.
Effortlessly fast
Lucky Chiefs. Lucky England. Happy fan!
If playing for Wales means so little to him, I’m glad he chose England and I wish him well in his career.
If he picks Wales he will have to leave Exeter once his contract is up and join a Welsh region but he is doing his medical studies there
Wales digging their own grave with 25 cap rule.
@@williamdickerson8898 Either that or they want a professional game in Wales to exist. How would Wales do without professional club rugby?
Another winger who'll be anonymous under borewick because he refuses to let the ten pass down the line. Kick Kick kick kick only
i didn't give you guys permission to post my content
Jason Robinson's son? ;-)
Does he remind you of Jason Robinson
No he's more of a powerhouse that runs through tackles with good speed, while Robinson's shotgun step and acceleration through gaps was unique
If not for that 25 cap rule he could be wearing Red this Six Nations but now he will be doing this against the boys in red 😂
not true :) cap rule doesn't apply in this case same circumstance as LRZ
@@theowedge3444 he wont finish his studies in time before his contract end, he will have to leave Exeter and join a region once his current contract ends
@@theowedge3444yes it does that's why he chose England,
During his Exeter contract he wouldn't have gained 25 caps so would need to join a welsh region & move universities,
Lex was already in Gloucester when he was capped so didn't matter just like Reffell & dafydd jenkins
@@pauldavies7251 how come LRZ got picked for wales while at glos then?
Born in cardiff so should play for wales
I take that you are being ironic?
George North, Jonathan Davies?
Bit different there. North and Davies are of Welsh families and both are Welsh-speaking. Though North's is "North Wales Welsh!!"@@swabs7004
As if he was ever going to pick Wales considering the state the Welsh union and clubs are in 😂
Tbf, quite a few others in a similar situation picked Wales
Born and player his rugby in Cardiff.... not enough English players in England that you have to poach other countries players?
He was up for sale and England bought him.
Can’t wait to see him in the six nations, I suspect he’ll be in red though. Imagine a back three of him adams and rees zammit 👌
Allegedly signing for wales would stop him from pursuing his degree so he's assuming England
Shame cuz that'd be a tasty back 3
Pretty sure it's a done deal he's playing for England.
Yeah I saw something this morning saying he has declared for England so he can finish his medical degree
Can't see short sighted Borthwick picking him for England,, doesn't like dynamic fast powerful wingers,,,thats why England won't win ,SH,ONE,T
Really depressing timing with this one!
If he ends up playing for England it will be the biggest Traitorist move ever!!!
Not at all , blame the incompetence of the WRU
@@xxwales15xx33 I was just be reactionary in the moment to be fair. You are right obvs
Talented but nothing spectacular … good luck against the AB’s
Not trying to knock the guy but this honestly isn't that impressive. Decent player but that's about it.
he's 21, very exciting prospect
Bloody Gatland. Useless.
Well done wru absolute idiots who make these rules. I hope that a desicion can be made to make an exception for him so he can represent his HOME NATION 🏴
No one forced him to chose England. He was dual qualified so he chose....
@globalnomad9054 he was forced in the sense that the wru wouldn't let him continue his studies in England and represent Wales. He could have waited on playing international rugby for a couple years and then chose Wales but oh well his decision has been made and he committed the cardinal sin of all welshmen therefore he is a traitor and josh Adams is going to put a hole in him when they meet 🤣😉
