Hi Charles. I sub'd to your channel. It is good to see some well put together videos such as this. I can tell you spend time on them. I have the Legria camera and wondered what sound settings you use for your films. Do you use the internal mic? Thanks. Paul
Hello Paul. All audio is recorded on a Zoom H2n digital recorder in stereo MS Raw, no other mics are used. The cameras mics pick up to much wind noise. I use a Dead Cat on the H2n. The output of the H2n is also plugged into the G40 so if I forget to press record the audio still gets recorded in the camera as a back-up. After editing the picture in DaVinci Resolve the MS audio is synced up and decoded in Pro Tools, music added, and the final mix done. The mix is then imported into Resolve and the final render done. Until I retired I was a professional audio engineer using Pro Tools on a daily basis, so I still have my studio at home.
I had a suspicion you were in the business!. I suspected the audio was recorded seperately it is too good to be out of the camera. Thanks for your help Charles.
UK Heritage Railways it is unfortunate that many films shot at the GCR are not just of trains, but of parked cars. I have enjoyed looking at other films of yours. I especially enjoyed your footage of the North Norfolk Railway. Again your photography was quite superb. Many thanks for these handsome films, they are very much appreciated. Regards from (of all places) Germany!

Glad to be of help Paul.
Nice photography. A shame that at the Great Central cars are parked adjacent to the track.
Thanks Philip. Unfortunately a car-park is the fate of many a goods yard.
