- They're all basically stock, and they're all sold as rock crawlers, so they should absolutely get compared head to head to head.
I guess the real winner here is me, because I have ready access to all three, and they're all great in their own rights.
All are running stock tires and bodies. The not stock bits:
TRX-4 has Injora steel beadlocks, brass C-hubs, some chopped up aluminum bumpers (same width as stock) and a Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Sport 8T in place of the stock Titan 21T.
SCX-10 III is from the builders kit, so the electronics are all "aftermarket," a $20 Amazon digital servo, HW 1080WP ESC, and Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Sport 15T; it has an AGFRC servo for the 2-speed, but Dig is locked out. Injora alloy beadlocks.
The Element Ecto is box-stock. No changes at all.
This puts the Ecto as the cheapest, but it's also the most bare-bones of the three. so the pricepoint argument isn't really a fair one.
