This hymn definitely makes me emotional--Home Free's version is my very favorite version of all the many, many I have heard 😍 Besides the unbelievable 5-part harmony--and gorgeous backdrop of the Austrian Alps--getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is a real treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging
I think this is one of the best versions of this song. Tim Foust's bass really carries the song. I found Home Free 3 years ago & love these 5 talented guys. Their harmonies are the best in the business. This is one of the few songs where you get to hear Adam Rupp's (beatboxer) sweet tenor voice during "It Is Well". And the scenery is awesome filmed in the beautiful Austrian Alps (my dad came from that area).
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps. IMHO, Home Free is the best acapella band. There's no beatboxing in this one and we even get to hear the beatboxer sing a little! 3 of them are song writers (Tim, Austin & Chance) so there are lots of originals. BTW, Austin Brown has a new video for "Defying Gravity" on his channel..
Austin's necklace - his girlfriend at that time was native Ukrainian. Olena was the group's stylist, she show up in many BTS videos until late 2018, and a few videos - most notably House Party, and All On Me, which you won't get to for quite while, yet, but she and Tim's wife Jenika were part of the party crowd in Snapback. Adam (Rupp) has a lovely tenor voice, although his vocal range is possibly even greater than Tim's. He fills out harmonies quite often, even in songs that have some beatboxing. Most of the bass in this is Chance, not Tim; if you watch live performances you can follow the various parts passing back and forth - including that high tone - I'm not sure if Chance carries any of it, but the other 4 pass it back and forth. The arrangement (who sings what, when and how) was done by Darren Rust, and he has, for years, been mainly responsible for the arrangements - at least their initial form. The band members weigh in if they feel the need to, but Darren is a magician. They guys were flying to a music festival and passing over the Austrian Alps when one of them looked out and saw the opportunity for a beautiful backdrop, so they flew their video team over to Europe while they were still there.

Yeah, I almost didn't notice the lack of instruments only to hear Adam sing.
I love the harmonies in this song. Neither Switzerland or Ukraine but the Austrian Alps. Most people guess the Rockies so 👏👏👏
Aaah, there you have it!
Right church, wrong pew (right mountain range, wrong country)
😂
Close enough. :)
