Whether you agree with him or not he only communicates with dogs how they would communicate with each other. In wild Gray Wolf packs, acts of communicating dominance have been observed to include; eating before less dominant pack members, exiting/entering the den first, travelling/hunting in front of the pack and communicating what behaviour is undesired by subordinates with eye contact, body language and biting/mouthing. His touch, which everyone gets so wound up about is only imitating another dog's teeth! Dogs are animals at the end of the day, not china dolls to be wrapped in cotton wool and I think Cesar consistently proves how much happier a dog can be when it understands its purpose and place in life. This is an animal which can kill a human so lets not get bogged down in wether its ok to give it a firm touch to redirect his brain and help him relax quicker. Cesar isn't a 'trainer' as well everybody, c'monnn. He communicates not with verbal commands but as another dog would and doesn't seek to produce an obedient dog but a calm, submissive one who is set up for the rest of his life among humans. A dog with the best possible prospects wherever he may end up. I really like Cesar's methods, I know there's so many different ways to train animals (horses are my first love and my god do people get into heated discussions on forums etc) I don't think we should argue about who is or isn't right so long as we all put the dog first. People like Cesar are not the ones to hate on, its the people who create the dogs which Cesar (or any trainer!) try to help.
This is my personal video of a recording when Cesar Millan was here in Singapore... everybody is entitled to their own respective opinions & beliefs so there will always be two camps - for and against.. If you have problems with anyone's opinion/view/etc, please refrain from spamming my video wall.. people are getting harassed and that is not right.
