THIS is the original album version before it was remixed and released as a single. The sample sounds way cooler during the chorus and the mix is more on par with the rest of the album. It's only on really early copies of "Strictly".
Yeah this is the original LP version from 93. I think they were probably right to remove the extra samples from the chorus, they sound a bit corny. I just wish the single version (aka the version that replaced this one and became the one everyone hears) was in stereo. It's either completely mono or mostly mono, which is a bit disappointing.
this type of poetry is wat we need, who gives a f**k aboyut how much money u have, cars dat u dont own, how bling out u go to da club, this is wat need to listen "I wonder why we take from our women Why we rape our women, do we hate our women? I think it's time to kill for our women Time to heal our women, be real to our women " RIP 2pac we ALl Miss U :]
This is the hard to find 1993 original Interscope/Atlantic records version of the song with a little bit of extra samples from 'Computer Love' by Zapp. This version was replaced with the official version after interscope was dropped by Time Warner. They dropped interscope as a result of the backlash against gangster rap at the time by C.Delores Tucker and Bob Dole among others. Albums from interscope artists who were formerly with Time Warner were re-released with alternate versions of their songs and certain tracks missing.
The dubs and ad libs are laid out differently, there's extra instruments in the chorus (sounds like a sample), and in his verses, he has a slightly different tone to his voice.

Santino Chavez I Agree... This version matches up more with the sound of the album.
I have the "Strictly" Album on CD with this Version.

This was the version I had on my copy of the album. I prefer this stereo mix over the mono mix that ended up on later pressings.

Interesting read, I always wondered why my version of the album sounded different from the Jive/Amaru version.
Pac finna make Bob Dole mad 😂😂😂
what's the difference here?
do pardon my ignorance

@@c-jayythedj4632 Also the fact that this version is in stereo, which sounds so much better. Later releases of this song are all in mono.
