Bruh, as someone who has read a lot of Junji Itou works, Bugsnax has somehow managed to creep me out more with its body horror and story. Of COURSE KERO KERO BONITO would make a song for it
Fr bugsnax isn't a bad game. Really good voice acting, good plot, darker undertones, just really good. I hope I can play it one day
I don't have a PS5 either, but can safely assume that playing it firsthand just wouldn't be the same after having watched multiple LPs of the game and seeing how it all ends.

Ok guys but this game ACTUALLY has really good writing and character development. You end up really caring for these little muppet creatures by the end of the game. I highly recommend playing it.
Yep, Beffica story is sad the second time playing it is breaking when you realize how she describe her lifestyle. At least for me, i din't realize how lonely she was the entire game.

Bugsnax was such a fantastic experience on the PS5. I know it's always being memed as genre defining and Game of the Year, but it was just such a legitimately fun game with a story and characters I got invested in, and I'll remember them for years to come.

Good and enjoyable core mechanics, good art, top tier voice acting and voice to movement linking. The little bits coming together in the grand finale was the cherry on top. *HOLY SHIT*
Bugsnax was actually a gem. Voice acting was on point. The music was dope too.
This game had no right to be as good as it was. I walked into that game expecting a Slime Rancher or Viva Pinata style fun-fun adventure. Which are both good games, mind, but lacking in much real depth. But Bugsnax goes HARD.
I appreciated the more complex narrative buried under the surface. It doesn't have to revolutionize the games industry or narratives to be good. There's something to be said about something that can mostly seamlessly mix in cute candy coated and horror aspects in a way that doesn't feel too far in either direction. The tone is shifting and can get pretty dark compared to the bright cheery way it plays through most of it, but never so far that it completely shatters the tone. And it fits the greater theme of the game in a way shit like Happy Tree Friends never could have. It's not just dark and candy coating just for the sake of it and that's what I appreciate.
While it comes later and isn't voice-acted, Slime Rancher has depth. It personally connects with me more but that is entirely subjective.

Bugsnax is such a cute charming little game.... I wish more people would give it a chance instead of just dismissing it because it isn't the sequel they wanted.

@@iamcenna7153 While I agree that a sequel wouldn't be unwarranted, I'd personally like to see something completely new from the studio, since I feel most of things that they wanted to do with Bugsnax are done in Bugsnax. Instead I'd like to see another crazy idea explored like they've done with Octodad and Bugsnax, because I feel like it's what they excel at.
