This character analysis on Shinji is the longest so far, for good reason. Shinji really left an ever-lasting impression on me, and finally doing this deep dive on him, I felt I have let go of some weight. (FUN FACTS ON THE VIDEO) There's spoilers in this comment if you read further. Just another thing I forgot to mention that I thought was a cool thing to touch on, is the fact that the video is 20 : 10. And that was done with a purpose, seeing the year the game of Persona 3 takes place is 2009. 2010 is the new year that Shinji will never get to see, so atleast in memory of him and my video on him, he lives on into 2010 in all of our hearts. (Lame maybe to some, but oh well.) And the video ending off on a note of silence is in respects to Shinji as well.
This guy is my most favorite persona character ever. Damn shame you can't play as him in most spinoffs. I really want to buy reload just to play as him
On a related note About castor and polydeuces, for one polydeuses was the more popular and famous one while Castor prefered to stay in the background and shadows, like how akihiko is popular in school while Shinjiro is looked apon like a delinquent Also while the twins usually do things out of good intentions like save their sister from theasus the things they did to get her back was very destructive, they nearly destroyed a entire town and kidnapped theases mother, similar to how they were after a shadow and Shinjiro ended up losing control and it caused the death of kens mother, Lastly the persona designs of the two twins, while they look similar, polydeuses is white like divine and life and castor is black like death and has a spear spike in his chest symbolizing castors death

All part of the reason I do this stuff. 🖤 And that's a cool observation, I didn't really think of Castor's eyes being blacked out, but now that I think of it Polydeuces' eyes are like white and has more eye features like an eyelid I think. I could only imagine what Shinji's awakened Persona would've been, probably would've been super cool. 🔥
I think the remake did his death so much better. You get a side mission chain the month he dies that gives you more time with him. He’s always available to hang out, and his death is given a lot more justice imo.
Yeah, I'm aware. And that's a fair point, but alot of people also thought it was weird that he doesn't die if you romance him. Personally I don't mind it either way, but the common outlook is it's not nearly as canon or there's more holes in the idea of him just surviving. @@1ViivviiX1 I’m honestly not a fan of him living either. His death is what inspired growth in two party members, and helps nail the theme of death. A tragedy loses its effect if the person comes back. As much as his death hurts, it makes his time with us all more valuable.
@@Iceblade269 True, I agree with that sentiment as well. 🙏🖤 Still shed a few tears here and there when seeing certain scenes. And overall the characters and theme of death, really helped me cope with some of my own losses. As just like real life, his death was there, not reversible, and the party of S.E.E.S. had to accept it, helping me do the same in my own circumstances. So that's a good point. But as a fair minded person, I can also see atleast some plusses to his coming back. Just depends how you look at it. But overall him dying and staying dead does fit and feel the most real within the setting of the game and it's themes over all. 🔥🤌
