If they were going to allow DLC and remakes they should've definitely had Persona 3 Reload included. It's such a great remake. That being said, I would agree that they shouldn't be nominated for Game Of The Year. Great video as always Vi!! ❤❤❤
I still haven't played P3R but plan to in the future. I just happened to finish P3 (FES) right before the remake came out. So, I wasn't exactly ready to jump back into that emotional rollercoaster that is P3 right after 2 back to back playthroughs of it. Glad to hear yet again it was really good but I definitely wouldn't want to see it win GoTY. Just based on the premise I don't think remakes should win in the awards. Totally agree, I get that the SotE expansion is huge but it still relies too much on the base game. It's an expansion and there's already a category for it. A thing that bothers me about the GA's is that it should be about the games but as you said it keeps getting more out of touch. More detached from what they should be about. It makes no sense to strip away the spotlight from smaller deserving studios with good games like Banishers in order to shine the spotlight on a game that already won GOTY in 2022, or on the politically correct garbage that only manages to get mentions because of how poor the optics would be if they DIDN'T get the nominations.

Had a great time putting it together :D Same here, I'm really excited to see a bit of a shift finally happening. Feels like too many people like us have been walking on egg-shells for too long. You know God of War 2018? It's kinda like that structure - with the linear environments, blocked paths and treausre to unlock later with future abilities, and a focus on the narrative. But different in everything else, pretty much. It's from a smaller "AA" studio, I admire them getting off their shells (devs of mostly small narrative adventure games) and taking a risk with something bigger and more complex. Combat is decent, and the RPG aspects are very light, but there's a lot of heart. Even multiple outcomes for replayability. My favorite part about it is the lore and setting. They put a lot of work into it, to make the concept (Ghost Hunters / Curse Breakers) work and deepen it with good lore. They also tied the lore/universe with another game of theirs (Vampyr). Music is also great. They sadly got 0 nominations for the GA's, thankfully though, other award events like BAFTAs and Golden Joysticks, etc, usually pay attention to smaller devs like them, even though their "stage" is much smaller. Geoff's platform would work wonders in cases like these where he could invigorate small studios that are actually putting in the effort to improve and go bigger with each new game. ✨

Dragon Age The Veilguard is a disaster of a game. They completely butchered one of my favorite series and now they want to parade its corpse around to promote certain political views... it's such a sad fate. Good video with good takes. I'm looking forward to the next video.
I personally think it mightve been alright (possibly) if it was some stand alone new IP and if the writing was better. But definitely not my cup of tea and if I was big on Dragon Age I'd probably be upset by the fact it's not what it use to be. I've seen Dragon Age comparison videos and I'd definitely say if I had to choose a game in the series, it wouldn't be The Veilguard. Thanks for your comment and engagement as always homie.
