I love that for the briefest millisecond you can see Ceci's frown after the interviewer says "Thank you ladies" 🤣😭

I don't think it's that funny honestly idk .... no one deserves to be misgendered

How in the holy hell is someone supposed to just see a feminine presenting person and automatically be like "is that a lady or a gentleman?" If they care so much, dress more masculine or make it painfully obvious that you are a "gentleman" or whatever.🙄 It aint that deep. People just want to be offended by something so menial.

Ofc it isn't the interviewers fault but it also isn't funny

@@kaptainzdragon5478 no one said it was the interviewers fault, it just sucks to be misgendered in general. if a cis boy wore something feminine i dont think he would want to be called a lady either

As much as the old fans aren't as hype for the movie, we have to remember how excited and proud the actors were on this film. They weren't the ones making the story , they were just following the script.

    "Little kids to dance to"
Sweetheart, I'm literally the same age as Nayah Damasen and I was dancing my BUTT off to the playlist in the changing rooms at college. I literally locked the door and started vibing haha
Tis so weird to see someone the same age as you on screen. She's new to me but I can see myself watching her for a long time xx

I don't know why people are mad at the interviewer for accidently misgendering someone. Ceci is literally dressed in a dress and has feminine features. How do you expect her to know? You can't just read someone's mind also you can't google search everyone, obviously you can for Ceci, but if they weren't famous, you'd also probably think they're a girl as well. Ceci should have corrected her if he had a problem, but he didn't, that's on him.

please do a MINIMAL amount of research on who you’ll be interviewing. ceci is a transmasculine person, and you misgendered him right off the bat by grouping him in with the other two as “you girls”. it takes two seconds to look it up and correct yourself. please do so beforehand.

Cool interview but Ceci Is trans masculine and goes by he/they for future reference. Maybe if you don’t know who people are when you first go up to them you could not refer to them with gendered terms to avoid any misgendering happening again in the future.

Thank you for letting me know! That was not my intention to misgender Ceci -- red carpets are very crazy and hectic. Handlers bring people to you that sometimes you are not familiar with and it is extremely rude to deny someone an opportunity for an interview while they are standing in front of you. I was not given background info on the cast, nor did name cards that were given have pronouns listed. There was no time for preparation as the handler was pushing to have them to do the interview quickly and to be honest, was done on the fly. Completely ad-libbed and unfamiliar with anything about the project except that it was a live action film inspired by the dolls. Instead of saying "no, I don't want to talk to you," I said "yes, let's chat" as I like to give everyone -- no matter who they are -- a chance to talk about their project on this platform and did this in good intentions. If I knew Ceci identified as he/they, I DEFINITELY would not have said that. Looking back I can't imagine how they felt in that moment and I'm very sorry to them and everyone that was offended. I know now to avoid gendered terms.
