    Can’t wait to visit this place in the fall. We are going to Bankhead tomorrow in July & we are trying to swim whenever we can 😅

      I don't blame you I don't go as much in the summer it is just too hot. Kinlock falls is the most popular swimming spot and Caney creek falls is also a great spot to swim.

      Awesome happy to help! I hope you enjoy your trip in Alabama! You probably won’t have service in Bankhead. Be sure to download offline maps it will help a ton because they don’t have signs telling you where anything is

    Not to be nit picky but Kinlock Shelter is a Rock Shelter not a cave a shelter is defined by the forest service as a bluff or depression in a bluff which you can stand in the entrance and see the back of the depression it is illegal to go in caves in Bankhead/Sipsey but not shelters. Other than that Kinlock Shelter is fascinating and there are many more even bigger in Bankhead.
