you should do a 2023 update to the budget simracing builds for those who want to start this year
One thing to note is that anywheel compatible with sim hub can do the lighting effects, eg the cubecontrols wheels can also do this. and i would hesitate to sell it as a specific feature to this wheel, which feels like how you are selling here. The profile being prebaked is nice however!
Love the fact that you can use the paddles as potentially break and accelerate. With my damaged feet this would be useful. However there probably are cheaper options out there. Thanks for another great video, hope your wife has recovered from her accident. As always top quality content 👌
Fanatec's McLaren GT3 wheel for one at $299.
The grid MPX is a very good alternative.. I'll be interested to see your thoughts should you review the MPX.. Do like the led telemetry though.
Please add durometer testing on the grips. That would help so much. Thank you. Great job
I’ve thought about it before but not sure how useful it will be unless people have their own durometer to serve as a reference for what they like. Otherwise the number is pretty meaningless.
@@boostedmedia I think it would help if you use a reference wheel durometer rating. Or you can set the standard. I ordered the F-Pro wheel based on your recommendation and it was amazing outside of the grips. They are incredibly hard and quite slick without gloves. If you established a reference point then it would be great to then have a frame of reference for most. It may not be perfect but it helps us when purchasing. Especially since Google can provide a frame of reference.
Will you be reviewing the Grid MPX?
Functionality looks good. Maybe it's just me, I really don't like the cosmetic style of the wheel?

I wish there are more options for steering wheel for playstation and Xbox I know there is fanatec, thrustmaster, and Logitech
i have to say i kind of expected something better overall, the quality seems to be a little shady, there is rust all over them clutch modules, the shifter paddles do seem a bit concerning and i think it just looks a little unfinished in places, i would have preferred to see the LED's in the wheel integrated better so the light is more diffuse, it just seems there was a lack of attention given to the wheels smaller details. i dont shy away from expensive wheels, use a cube F pro quite regularly but i wouldn't pay what this wheel costs for what i just seen, needs to be 3-400 cheaper id say.
There’s definitely no rust on the wheel. There’s a bit of solder flux residue on the rotary potentiometers if that’s what you saw?

Carbon is very strong and i doubt it will break. I have made mine with 3d printing and carbon and i race it for 3 years all ready, and it the same way.
Nice wheel, but feel it is on the pricey side for what it is and the functionality it offers…I would have the Grid MPX instead.

Just looking to upgrade to a Simucube wheelbase, from a CSL DD/GT3 wheel and the price of steering wheels is eye watering.

That wheel looks like it was taken off the set of the 1970s Battlestar Galactica show. Not very attractive IMHO. Do you get to keep all these products for free?

The ridiculous RGB craze has finally caught up to steering wheels. In another couple of years you won't be able to find wheels without bazillion blinky lights on them. Getting realllllllly tired of RGB in every damn product.
Just turn it off.
This is one of the few things that are cool, but I don't really want.
A bit over the top and not aesthetically pleasing, at least to my eyes. It does look well built but the material on the main body looks cheap, which lets it down.
I would have preferred it without the rgb and just light in the buttons
@@AlexKTwitch But why does that matter? It’s not like you’re forced to use the RGB - you can just turn it off.
So many people claim to hate RGB, but you can just turn it off or set it to whatever specific, single color you want and you never have to set it again.

£1,200 wheel, comes in a water tight box, ships with rusty nuts on the clutch pots. Think that's a pass!
Hi Jon, nuts and threads are coated so they won't rust. What's visible in the video is thread locker which goes from being blue when applied to look like in the video after it's fully dry.

They usually get cleaned before shipping but Will’s sample was made pretty much the day before and the thread locker needs couple of days to look like that 👍🏻

Possibly the worst wheel I’ve seen in a long time …
Not so appealing sharp edged, futuristic, clunky looking wheel and its super expensive! The worst of both worlds.
