  • Our last trial day setting up the sails and going through all the equipment before setting off for Cape Town on the first leg of our journey to cross the Atlantic. Just as well we get the boat sorted as we face some heavy weather and gale force winds on the first leg...

We had a few issues due to different thickness in sail material but all sorted out.. Part of the process with new boats👍

Love the interior. What kind of striped wood is that? I haven't seen it before.

Hi Trevor, thanks for the great video! So at the 15:14 mark I can see that Syd had the Nexus guys put an additional Antal cleat right in front of the locker where the windlass is located. I feel silly for asking, but can you explain what that's used for as I've not seen this before.

Its a great question as it was Syds request but my guess is for using spare anchor gear with rode.. Was surprised to see it myself😁

@@oceanadventures365 Cool, thanks for the reply. We are going through our deckplan right now with Roger/Daryl/Amber and was wondering if this is something we should add in : ). Also we are leaving tomorrow to go sail aboard NORHI on the Salty Dawg Rally (the Cape2Rio Race winner earlier this year), such amazing catamarans and even better people who build them!
