QUESTION: Which part of The 2-Part Church Announcements Formula is most exciting to you? The story framework in part 1? Or the next step script from part 2? LMK below! 👇👇👇👇👇👇
I've been pushing to get part 2 up and running here and hopefully will be able to launch in the Fall! thanks for the info on how you have it set up and "using one method" for next steps. Storytelling was also a huge help! Thanks Brady and team!
I've watched almost all of your guys' stuff and think you are right on point! Also, I'm right on the other side of Lake Ontario (east side) and thought that if I am ever heading through that way that I would love to crash in on your guys.
Mitch, you're welcome to stop by the office any time! We have people stop in pretty frequently. We'd love to meet you. Just give us the heads up when you're planning on stopping in.
As someone making weekly announcements at church, this is very helpful. We are definitely guilty of making "next steps" too complicated. Awesome video!
I just got onto our church staff, and I'm hoping to present some of these fantastic ideas to the board in order to have be EXCELLENT in everything we do. We've always struggled with getting the announcements to be exciting or even paid attention to, but these tips really encourage me. Thank you!
2! It makes life so much easier also for the person who makes the announcement and also for those who are making the registration and organisation! Thanks Brady!
Thank you Brady for sharing these church announcements formula with us. As a small church, just implanted in Haiti, I foresee the challenge with technology but I am optimistic it will make a huge difference as we increase the next steps actions in our church. I am learning a lot with you guys and hopefully heading in the right direction. I Thank God for your guys and all you do to help us navigate this biggest communication shift in 500 years.
The story framework was most helpful for me. Also, the 50% rule is golden! I'm sitting here thinking, "I want more people to come on Sunday night and God has been doing some awesome things there in the lives of many." It would be so much more effective to share stories of people who have been blessed by Sunday Night services!
Thank you so very much for your explanation of how the next generational church should operate. Storytelling is so important, not only for today. It has always been and always will be. That’s what I came away with mostly from your information. Thank you once again.
Extremely helpful. Most exciting is the one next step, but specifically the centralised hub concept where a person only ever has to remember one thing (the hub address) and we do all the work for them by making sure the Hub is up to date and people can find the action they need at that time.
The story telling is always exciting and glad to have this reminder that we always need to inspire instead of just giving info. I'm sharing this with my worship and arts team to help create this change. Thanks for all the work you do!
Assuming you start announcing an event 6 weeks out, how often do you put it in the Sunday announcements? We announce every upcoming event every week until it expires. Stage announcements--when you have captivated attention--are much more effective than the bulletin or website. Also, once you give your story about a particular event--say baptism in your example--what do you do with that announcement every other week until the event happens? Does it get that special treatment once? And then goes into the "less important" rotation and gets only a mention?
Hey Brady, did I miss your answer to Kim Gray's question? How do we continue to promote major events without telling the same story each week? Also, if you're using the storytelling technique and you have two or three announcements, how do you smoothly transition from the story (announcement #1) to Announcement # 2 and 3? I SO appreciate your videos!!!
Wait -- that was more than ten minutes! Thank you for the reminder to keep it to fewer announcements to add punch. These are all things I knew, but had to be reminded of. The 50% rule is a great way to eliminate a lot of announcements, too. I use stories as the central feature in many of my sermons, but including them in announcements was new to me. Thanks for putting the video together!
I have a question. You stated that baptism is an announcement that applies to more than 50% of the congregation and I don’t see how that is so. Typically most of the people attending church have already been baptized. Can you explain this?
This is super informative. I've picked up on all this from a year of watching through your videos, but it's great to see it all broken down in One Plain Detailed video. Keep up the good work Brady (and team)
Thanks for the great content, Brady. Not sure if this question has already been asked...but is the info webpage that you send people to separate from your main webpage or is it a link to a page within your main webpage?
Thank you Brady for this video and a couple others related to announcements. I am going to assume that the order of service looks like this: Countdown / Welcome / Continue Countdown / Worship / Announcements with giving / Sermon Bumper / Message / Response / Dismissal. I am curious to know how you incorporate the giving section before the message?
Yep! This is the basic structure of most services. I announce the giving during the announcement portion and the ushers collect the offering as the sermon bumper plays. 😊
Thanks for watching! All of the footage of Brady in the office talking is filmed on an Ursa Mini Pro. The footage that was filmed live at the church was taken care of the church's tech team, so we don't have the specs on that. :)
@@prochurchtools thank you! do you have any camera recommendations at a more affordable price for smaller churches with 100-200 people? with great video quality?
Brady, this is very interesting and useful information, but it takes you far too long to go through it. I really feel like this could be a 5-minute video that gets all the same info across, but is more mindful of the viewer's time. I would encourage you to try to be a little more concise. God bless.
this sounds cool. But, when I share this to my leader, I was questioned. “Who will do the story-telling/ who will testify? can you please help me answer this? I wonder why there is a qualification to be in the front. 🥲Because at the moment, we are doing a weekly video showing the details of the event. No next step/ not engaging at all.

The second part about the central church hub was very interesting. What size of a church do you think a church hub is useful?
This was awesome. I was appointed to be my church announcer and I needed this. I love the story telling.

So glad you enjoyed it, Rebecca! Thanks for watching 🙌
Wow, I've been "throwing away" announcements for years! Thanks for introducing me to the two-step formula!
Gary Bates you got it!
2! It makes life so much easier also for the person who makes the announcement and also for those who are making the registration and organisation! Thanks Brady!

I am Eoin Robert in New Zealand in a town called Levin the HOROWPHUNA i😂
Thanks Brady for the great tips. My church is undergoing a revival. God bless!❤
A clear, easily accessible, up to date website is a MUST have
The central hub topic was most impactful for me. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Thank you for this! I do the voiceover for our church announcements.

Thanks for watching, Luke!
Thanks so much for the videos. I from Chile and your teaching bless my life.
Thanks for watching, Daniel!
This video feels like the length of our announcements. I stopped at 12:12. Thanks though.
Competition with the Catholic church is often intense. I clicked on this video, and immediately I saw an ad about fighting sexual abuse. It figures...
This formula is good but how would you translate this to voiceover church announcements

Glad you enjoyed it, Nicolas! It was about time I put it all together in to one epic, all-inclusive video :)
Really glad I stumble across this RUclips video, Next step that is what caught my attention
So glad to have you, Victor!

How do you advertise doing church announcements for other churches?
So glad I found this channel
Likewise, Tim! Great to have you!

Can you do a video on ministry page content on a church website. e.g: Men's Fellowship, c
children's church, etc.
We have a free guide with downloadable templates for stuff like this! Check it out here: blog.nucleus.church/church-website-templates/
Do you call your announcements anything other than “announcements” or “video announcements”?
Gee; Prochurchtools for breakfast? These releases are earlier and earlier PTL! I like the 50% rule. Thank you.

Are you related, in any way, to Sophie?
Wow this is great man!
Thanks!
