  • In this tutorial, I show you how to export cards for printing with Launch Tabletop (LT). I'm by no means a printing expert, but here's the process I'd use for printing a prototype deck of poker cards:
    1. Apply 3mm of bleed to your cards in the dextrous export page.
    2. Export your pngs at exactly 300dpi
    3. Create a new cards component in LT. Choose imperial poker size cards in LT. and choose your card paper type etc. The important thing is making sure whatever card type you choose in LT matches whatever you've made in Dex.
    4. Load in your exported pngs to LT (if you get a resolution error you've probably forgotten to apply bleed in step 1).
    5. Get LT to create pdfs for you (for front and backs). Hot tip: upload your images for front and backs and create the pdfs for both at the same time!
    6. Download your pdfs from LT, check they look right and then load them back in to LT.
    7. Check your settings are correct and process your order :)
Please note my cards have already been optimised with bleed in mind, so you'll need to do that first (check out my 2 other videos on bleed basics and making a layout bleed-ready if you need help with this).
    Happy designing!

Why didn't you show the PDF they created?

In the interest of time I didn't think it was necessary, as the pdf can take some minutes to generate. So essentially I just edited that out to make the tutorial shorter.
