This is an example of why I think the investor idea he pitched the other day is going to lead to issues. Dan sees this as a "win-win" and it is for him and the buyer. Dan makes a little bit of money on the car, he gets revenue from selling parts, and he gets content for the channel. The buyer is going to "make out like a bandit" because he's getting such a good deal on the car... but this is the dynamic that sets up a huge conflict of interest. If I'm an investor and the only stream I'm getting a cut of is the dealership deal, I'm gonna be pissed that Dan negotiated the deal in such a way that makes sense for all of Dan's enterprises but gives me minimal return on the sliver that I'm a part of.

It benefits an investor if they live close and they get to drive different exotic cars with little expense.

Whole thing is way to intertwined that is favorable for Dan, and not the investor. Classic conflict of interest.

I think a 360 would be great. In particular, doing a timing belt on one would be great. I appreciate how you lay things out in a straightforward manner and unmasking the mystery of a 360 timing belt would be pretty cool.

Do the 360 . Love mine. Love working on it . Put a CS TCU in as part of whatever you do. Transformational , especially if you start with an early year TCU. Did a Steve Maze retune on the ECUs as well . Good platform to do lots of stuff for your channel. Cam belt change should be no big deal if you want to demo it

The 360 with the IPE is the set up i want as well...and yes, next car, 360 with some work.... i revisit Stu's episodes of motor mount, trans mount & exhaust often....imo, you can hear the engine breath with IPE... Loepers car sounds insane, the best in my opinion...but then you put them on your 458 & it sounded great as well.... great brand

I do love your channel and presentation- supercars with problems, get em fixed on camera, drive them a little, sell them. That's what attracts people to the videos. One suggestion/idea- in addition to the cars you flip, have a driver for yourself that you keep for a while before sale.

It's 90k for a reason. Nobody sells cars to loose money. The car has 28k miles on it with multiple repairs needed. The clutch alone is 10 thousand dollars. It's going to take 35 to 40 thousand to bring it back to full working condition. You get what you pay for.

Definitely do the 360! I know Adam will complain the ENTIRE time you work on it but it will be awesome! Belt service, heads, fluids etc. The 360 has a huge following and I think it would be a good move. Plus under 100k? no brainer..

I think a 997 turbo would be interesting. Still some deals out there on them. But probably not for long.
They are hard to find at good prices
I think it would be a good idea to start a series on which cars or buy some that are slightly more attainable for us younger ones or ones who are on a more restricted budget. Me personally I'm looking for something in the 60-80k range and newer/ less maintenance.

Seems to me you should not put up cars for sale until after you're done fixing them up. Otherwise you're just a flipper. You'll make more money selling the repaired car in pretty much every case. Wasn't that the original plan?

Currently in the UK, super unleaded (high octane) petrol is $2.4 a litre (that's the straight conversion, anyway..)
Would that make you think twice about a 10-15mpg V8 supercar? Certainly was the final straw for me and I've backed out of this hobby for now as it just began to feel ridiculous (beyond how normally ridiculous it feels..)

If you know up front what your getting into, and how much more your going to have to spend to make things right, then you can allot the money to do so. When a dealer covers up everything and sells to someone with no knowledge of exotics, and just dives in, because it's the one chance to own their dream car, then you get the brutal reality check. You just bought a lemon, and it's going to cost you thousands of dollars to bring it back. So many people including myself have gotten burned buying a used Ferrari. I learned the hard way, fortunately I was able to cover the cost.

Even if they sign something if your buying the car without seeing it the buyer can even turn up on the day and say mmmmmm it’s not the red or the car I thought it was and you have to refund any payments . There’s nothing you can do buy law with cars brought without seeing it online !!!!
And tbh if you wanna sell super cars you don’t want to go down this road because many people may change there mind but they always tend to buy loads of cars often . About credit cards take a deposit but just take a 2 k deposit via credit card that’s it . Your can’t sell cars especially of this nature and not take cards it gives the buyer all securities and reassurance especially because your a tiny dealers and so many like clay around !!!!!
Just take the initial deposit via card and take maximum 2or 5 k like all other dealers !!! You make it sound like your selling cars as favours to people you need to be more professional otherwise I may aswell just buy private and you have no use my man . As someone with a huge collection just advice I would never give you a deposit not knowing u only on my credit card because if you turn out to be a clay they will just give me my deposit back and I’m covered like I said just take 2-5 k . Plus the paper your wanting people to sign won’t be worth anything it’s written on because as a internet sale the seller has the right at any time to decline the car until they take delivery all they would need to say is it’s not the red or colour I thought looks different in person I don’t want it and that’s the law unfortunately and they will always get the money back . Plus not worth screwing your reputation for a 3 k deposit just refund and sell the car . It’s different if your purchasing in a car for someone .

BS, there are so many hidden dangers with that type of purchase. Also usually state laws preclude by having a 3 day “cooling off period” in which to cancel. Just by your handle, you probably never purchase anything of high value.

Deposits are tough. I get why people want to reserve the car as it can be hard to do remote deals. But at the same time I can't just hold a car while someone is not serious about buying it just to lose other opportunities.
