One of my favorite movies with alain delon and a great soundtrack. The end of the movie was brilliant. Another good movie with delon is "La Piscine", the englich title is Swimmingpool. "Le aventuriers" (the adventurers) was awesome too. There are lots of great movies with delon, but those are my favorites.
A classic movie by Clement. We can see Romy Schnneider in a cameo role for a second. At that time she was engaged to Delon. What a beautiful couple. He even more beautiful than Romy. His acting is also excellet. He played an amazing Tom Ripley. The end of the movie is not according to the book. I heard it was decided to change for moral issues. Tom Ripley was never arrested in any of his adventures. Thank you for focusing on his face. What a face.

@ 3:39 the episode at the fish market is my favourite :) Initially, Clement had planned Delon for Philippe's role. At the first meeting of the team Delon announced that he felt he could do a better job as Tom Ripley. He almost took the risk of being shown the door. But Clement's wife supported him.
A beautiful ( the most fitful adjective for his delicate features ) man; any woman beauty beside him just pales compared to his extremely good looks .Good to focus on his eyes because these are the most endearing .
Much better than the Matt Damon "...Ripley". I like Matt Damon, but no one is Alain Delon BUT Alain Delon. They were foolish to try to follow such a class act. Did they think no one would notice "Purple Noon"? Silly boys.
Great work mixing picture and sound indeed, as thenton 2003 said. I love the still frames stepping up at times to show more and more close-ups in a progressive manner to build the qualities Delon brought to Tom: almost angelic at times, yet sinister; boyish, yet conniving; a victim, yet murderous. He did a great job, and so did you. Bravo. I love watching this as a summary to the original movie. Thanks! You'd make a great video director. :-)
