I love the fact that you include the original commercials. It’s like I’m actually watching the TV broadcast, and it gives me a chance to see what people were viewing back then. I am totally blind, and a huge football fan, and I love watching all of these archive games. Keep the uploads coming!
I love this competitive rivalry between great coaches Mike Holmgren and Dennis Green.And great players such as Brett Favre, Warren Moon, Cris Carter, Sterling Sharpe, Reggie White, and John Randle.
1. All I do is catch TDs. This isn’t part of my job description 2. I’ve met God… 3. shit shit shit shit shit shit… 4. Aight, imma head on out 5. I hope no one is watching
So Viking fans; the floor is yours...The announcers said on this broadcast (& on the opening day broadcast at Green Bay), that the Vikings can really do some damage in the playoffs. So is the reason from '92 thru '97 they made in no further than the divisional round (in fact it took a recovered onside kick in that '97 wild card game to win at the Giants for their only div. round presence in those 6 seasons) because they were "missing that piece"? Say, the addition of Randy Moss changed things? Cunningham was better than Moon? Help me. From a Packer fan.
Vikings were very good during those years but were no where near Cowboys, 49ers, and of course the Packers. Vikings had some major holes in the secondary and right after this year Vikings defense started to dwindle. Vikings should have signed Henry Thomas for whatever he wanted. Him and Randle made the Vikings secondary look twice as good.
Thats easy. The vikings are a cursed franchise. Having been a fan since watching them in the super bowl against the steelers I can tell you this. I do not think there is a better team that excels at failing. When you suck and you know the season is over in november, well, that sucks but you get over it fairly quick.Like Lion fans. When your team teases you in how good they are and wait to break your heart in epic fashion in december or january, well that pain lasts a long time. Those mid to late 90's teams had a pretty bad d that was under sized. If you could run on them, and that was very doable, the pa pass killed them. The reason that 98 team did so well on D is they played with huge leads. They could use their speed to rush the qb all game and the opponents run game was usually nil because of the score. Warren Moon was an ok qb. The 98 team not only had 3 all pro wr's but one of the best offensive lines in the game AND robert smith . That offense was stacked. Moss was so good teams had to use 2-3 defenders to contain him which opened up everyone else. By 99 on a lot of teams figured out the best way to beat moss was getting in his head and being physical. Cunningham had a cannon. That worked well with Moss speed.

1:01:26 for infamous Reggie White play. I remember watching this live and wondering what Cris Carter was thinking when he took flight.

The 90s was a pretty good decade for Vikes. Usually Vikes would start fast then fade later.
Some reason I forgot Moon was in Minnesota.
Nice upload. Thanks again :D
Any Canadian feeds to some old NFL games that you have? Like on TSN, Global or CTV?
@2ndservace ok that was bogus
Appreciate the upload. Is there any chance you can re-upload Vikings/Lions (1994 Week 16)?
Done!
Thanks A Lot
The oj Simpson commercial
OJ did it.
Such a blatant "missed" facemask on Reggie Cobb by the refs. Just goes to show that the officials have ALWAYS favored the Vikings even back then. smh.

Dallas and sf were way better than the Vikings ever could be.
