My problem with DB is the combat/pve feels weightless. There is no dodging like there is in DaD, it just feels like shitty Elder Scrolls Online combat. Also pumping out classes isn’t necessarily a good thing. While I agree that IM was really slow on Druid release, I believe they have hired more people recently, so hopefully this issue goes away. Guess we’ll see in the future how things go. Also the season system seems like a horrible idea for a loot extraction game, all I see is the player base splitting up and dead lobbies.
Talking about weightless, I really like hitting a skeleton 20 times to kill it, DaD combat feels unresponsive against PvE, and the PvP is just getting two- shoted by the meta class in turn, in dungeonborne at least there's outplaying maneuvers that work with each class
As a tarkov player once you’ve got it all and so does everyone else the game gets stale everyone has the best guns and armor with all the best attachments and all the stats maxed out and you’ve got a stash full of gear and nothing to chase or look forward to. You’ll find one of the best guns and it’s like whatever because you can just by it from the trade market. It just doesn’t feel the same when you see a full purple kit or get a meta stat item. You kill someone you end up just taking the most expensive items or probably take anything with meta stats late game and the rest of the purples don’t really matter. Restarting everything to lvl one maybe changing loom locations adding patches for effects and dropping a new class or map each season would make the game stay fresh. This is why Diablo stayed alive for years when there was nothing new to the game but a new season to start the come up over again.

I’ve played DaD since alpha test 2, and while I enjoy the game, I really feel like they’ve dropped the ball. I’m not a huge fan of the direction they’re taking the game, and while I wasn’t aware of Dungeonborne until recently, and thus not entirely aware of their progress up to this point, just based on how the game is now I feel like I can expect great things from them. And while they might let me down much like DaD has, I’m more optimistic of Dungeonborne’s chances than I am of the current IM devs.
DB seems a bit more arcadey and thus more accessible, and in a super hardcore genre like this one I think that will help a huge amount with popularity.
the point of a shooter looter is to find the good loot and use it not to spend hours trying to find it, while at the same time fending off someone who already bought the max rolled item. the devs have been just attached to these LoL streamers who only want competitive gameplay. sweaty gameplay videos on YT havent been doing very great, the stats are there, they just dont want to accept it.
the videos i have seen if the game play looked the same type of game. not that the items look the same or the items are the same. but Dark and Darker had to deal with a lawsuit on them for a wile. so maybe that harmed them. but now DB has a cooler looking Dark and Darker 2.0 for like a COV version of a game.
I had never tried Dark and Darker until after finishing the dungeonborne playtest and in my opinion dungeonborne seems a thousand times better to me, a more intuitive menu which after 5 minutes you already know what everything is for, a selection of modes that is also intuitive, a tutorial As soon as you start to learn the mechanics of the game (I don't know if DaD has it but I haven't found or been given any), a more entertaining, fast and frenetic combat, you can see what's on the map without having to turn on a torch therefore I know that an enemy is going to hit me and it leaves me a minimum of time to dodge an attack with a high range since either you do it quickly or you are dead. I realize that some of these things aren't necessarily bad for everyone but they do screw up the new player, at least me, especially not being given a tutorial when you start. Those were my first impressions, I was honestly disappointed because I expected better, I will continue testing the game for a while and establish my 100% opinion of the game. Edit: Of course dungeonborne has its flaws and is not at all perfect, I say this so that you do not think that I am a dungeonborne fanboy, it is simply the opinion of a simple player about 2 games that are similar and that there is a certain rivalry between them .
Dungeonborne doesn't have wipes like Dark and Darker, it has an eternal realm similar to ARPG's that you can keep your characters and gear on. As well as seasons which people can compete on leaderboards and race and try new mechanics on. Which already makes it infinitely better to me.
We need open maps in such games i think dnd gets repetitive it's always some random generated tiles, haven't tried db yet, but i feel this kind of games need real maps with story's to tell, an atmosphere like the hunt showdown for example, and throw in some elden ring vibes, and there u go the perfect medieval survival extraction rpg 🤣
u had some good points but the amount of strait up copying the dungeonborne did is crazy and dungeonborne blew up at first with 10k my daily players and as of rn dungeonborne is barely struggling to get close to dark and darker with only like 1-2k more or less daily players, dark and darker worked hard to make there game while dungeonborne is taking the ez route and just being a copy
while dark and darker is unbalanced, at least they dont release thing before their ready, even in early access. for the druid, have you ever tried coding a transforming class? im assuming not, its not as easy as it sounds. while i havent played dungeonborn, ive watched it a bit but the classes seem very 2 dimentional. id rather wait for good content than get bombarded with bad content edit: im currently downloading dungeonborn and ill update my comment accordingly
seeing the DnD community based off this video hurts alot, both games are good, but i feel like the DB community is so much more chill, Both games are fun don't get me wrong, but DnD commenters gotta chill abt their opinion
This guy sounds so entitled. I'm not a Dark and Darker brainwashed 'hold the line' type guy, but bro, if you think DND is doing bad in terms of progress (btw we get biweekly updates) then you should really check out how many updates big games like WoW gets (it's definitely not updates, whether its new content or balance, every 2 weeks). Same for shit like Apex Legends. We have it pretty good. Dungeonborne looks good. So did Greed is Good, and they ended up rugpulling.
I played the last playtest all of about 2-3 games and it was bad (couldn't bare to play it more). The combat is just plain bad and just like Expedition of Agartha. It's "out of the box" combat that comes with each weapon and you don't "feel" the impact in combat. If the devs don't make the weapon animations their own and the impact they have in combat, it will be a dead game. Combat is everything. As far as Dark and Darker, they have had all the normal growing pains of a company that the demand for their product outpaced their ability to keep it updated/make changes. And the main reason people are having issues with various maps is because they have been out for a long time now (kinda like old news). Most everyone loved each of the new maps as they came out.
I can not figure out how u like dungeonbourn. It does have alot of features but the gameplay is terrible. Feels like a arcade game. The actual melee combat and all around feel is terrible in comparison. I don't c very many people switching off dad for this game at all.
I don't understand how you people actually like Dark and Darker combat either. It's literally garbage. You shitters would get absolutely destroyed in a real melee slasher like Chivalry 2 or Mordhau. Dark and Darker is melee combat for babies. Dungeonborne is no different.
As someone that is new to both DnD and DB. I gotta say DB just feels like a better version of DnD and I love DnD and will still play it. The people picking "sides" are weird man. Idk why you limit yourselves. Just play both or the one you enjoy more. Getting triggered over someone else not liking what you do is odd. Let it go.
Unpopular opinion I guess. But I really hate Druid. No character should be allowed to change their player model.. you shouldn’t be able to become taller with warlock demon, at least that one hurts you.. being able to morph into a tiny rat, or a giant bear, or a 2 foot knee slapping panther, it’s not good for PvP.. it hurts the gameplay.. because all these other characters have a base set of rules that they have to play by, they all fight slightly similar, you still have to kite and be accurate with your weapon, the Druid is playing a completely different game.. he doesn’t have to abide by traditional to PvP rules at all.. same with warlock.. I don’t think people understand just how strong a single hydra in a doorway can be, dude can just spam hydras and is unstoppable at that point.. it’s stupid.. no thought was put into that.
rat is one shot to anything, you can jump over hydras, warlock demon being taller is actually a disadvantage since your hitbox is fatter than usual, and of course druid doesnt have to abide by usual pvp rules, its a druid, its what they do, i think you just need to get better at positioning yourself before fighting warlocks or druids
you never want to fight warlocks where they are at their strongest (big empty rooms), they nerfed hydra so its way less op than it was, with druid you want to space yourself properly and be patient, druid can and will one shot you with bear, but if you can drain their spells, and corner them a little bit before the fight, before they know it they are out of room and they have to leave, another thing is, since druid is out, Molotovs have gained immense value since it can take out rats effectively, use this information how you wish

skip both - play Dark Messiah? ^^
the videos i have seen if the game play looked the same type of game. not that the items look the same or the items are the same. but Dark and Darker had to deal with a lawsuit on them for a wile. so maybe that harmed them. but now DB has a cooler looking Dark and Darker 2.0 for like a COV version of a game.
The mobs in DB need to really be visually reworked. I feel like they look generic and off putting, compared to the mobs of DAD.
Kingdom come devs should sue d&d devs for that stolen character sheet ui😂
Dungeonborne reminds me of Hellgate: London gameplay.
u had some good points but the amount of strait up copying the dungeonborne did is crazy and dungeonborne blew up at first with 10k my daily players and as of rn dungeonborne is barely struggling to get close to dark and darker with only like 1-2k more or less daily players, dark and darker worked hard to make there game while dungeonborne is taking the ez route and just being a copy
Competition only ever helps the consumer but I’m unlikely to try out DB
W for dungeonborne
honestly not a fan of the combat of either mordhau/chiv 2 just feels better for melee based games, jus my opinion tho. DnD is atleast tolerable
while dark and darker is unbalanced, at least they dont release thing before their ready, even in early access. for the druid, have you ever tried coding a transforming class? im assuming not, its not as easy as it sounds. while i havent played dungeonborn, ive watched it a bit but the classes seem very 2 dimentional. id rather wait for good content than get bombarded with bad content
edit: im currently downloading dungeonborn and ill update my comment accordingly
seeing the DnD community based off this video hurts alot, both games are good, but i feel like the DB community is so much more chill, Both games are fun don't get me wrong, but DnD commenters gotta chill abt their opinion
I played the hell out of dnd. I played db for the first time this weekend. I like db better
This is the only logical take. Dungeonborne feels like shit
The fk you mean dark and darker is f2p now ??? You telling me i got fucked over with falls hope and other people dosnt have to pay ?
It's free to play but you get one character and are pretty limited.
@@botep5529 how does people still play ?
@@yunuda.scarlet you can link a previous account if you played before
On steam
@@botep5529 i did, then uninstalled. The fuxk is that game? Unlight and unlighted ??? Where the frixk is dark and darker from playtest...
I don’t think people understand just how strong a single hydra in a doorway can be, dude can just spam hydras and is unstoppable at that point.. it’s stupid.. no thought was put into that.
get gud
rat is one shot to anything, you can jump over hydras, warlock demon being taller is actually a disadvantage since your hitbox is fatter than usual, and of course druid doesnt have to abide by usual pvp rules, its a druid, its what they do, i think you just need to get better at positioning yourself before fighting warlocks or druids
you never want to fight warlocks where they are at their strongest (big empty rooms), they nerfed hydra so its way less op than it was, with druid you want to space yourself properly and be patient, druid can and will one shot you with bear, but if you can drain their spells, and corner them a little bit before the fight, before they know it they are out of room and they have to leave, another thing is, since druid is out, Molotovs have gained immense value since it can take out rats effectively, use this information how you wish
Certain classes are asymmetrical like they SHOULD be. Remove shapeshift from druid and you may as well just call him "wizard but magic is green"
I don’t like the atmosphere of DB
I didn't play the game cause I have no friends, I'm thinking about trying on stream Dungeonborne since I got access to it with Steam ! I mostly watched lots of streamers playing Dark and Darker, it's enjoyable to watch the game as a viewers honestly ! It's funny that the french Dota 2 community is playing Dark and Darker wich is a completely different game than Moba's !
dungeon born doesn’t seem fun at all
...100x the game? Hyperbole much? Dungeonborne still only have 2 abilities per class?
dungeonborne looks better than DaD but play worse.
no thrill at all
i hate DaD because no regional price and direct sell on steam
but after i try DB, i instantly buy DaD
why DaD take so long to add content because they fixing mechanic on the game.
the stat and the skill also the movement are way more complex than dungeonborne
Dungeonborne combat looks like Elder Scrolls Online, which looks and feels weightless and not impactful at all. Plus literally the exact same models for things, is insanely cringe. Like zero of your own spice?
They're store bought assets. Dark and Darker owns none of them. Why would it be cringe? They didn't do shit to make them. Dark and Darker is amateur shit
Sorry bro you're wrong dungeonborn is poo poo i played for like 10 hours last test and in that short time i got sick of it. Meanwhile i have 700+ hours on dark and darker and still play regularly its so fun
No, you should probably play. What brought you your viewer champ
i dont care about what gets me viewers i care about what i enjoy so ill play what i want champ

Competition is good, but man Dungeonbourne is such a bad competitor to Dark and Darker. And that Dungeonbourne is trying so hard to be the clone of Ironmace masterpiece. DB is falling, they tried to make most of the time when DaD wasn't in Steam, they missed their opportunity when IM got DaD to steam.
The DaD community won't miss you
All 2k of them I guess. Literally a dead game soon
@@Chris-ey8zfbut there's 30k people just on steam alone RN, what

dead and deader is already dead bro.

Wow. No-lifing in 2 games and you dont even have subs... that's some commitment.
Dude has 13k more people watching than you and has 3k people who cared enough to subscribe to him. Is your mommy not showing you enough attention?
What a horrible video
Bro you were soooo paid to do this video lmaoooo I’m cringing so hard
i wish lmfao im doing this for free
So sad tod
DB has to be the most clunky janky ass piece of shit game that ppl are trolling if they think this will ever surpass DaD. Everything about the game is worse y’all are funny
DB is clunky. It’s a copy paste from inexperienced devs

Dungeonbone feels like mobile game, sorry this is just an L take man. Thx for sharing yappfather
Gameplay wise, dungeonborn feels like a copy, like the feeling of the game seems like ideas that have been washed like 3 times over and then seasoned with overwatch abilities.
nah it feels better lmao
@@panzershrek7942better is subjective
There was dota, then there was league of legends. We will see how this plays.
the only reason why ppl like dungeonborne is bcuz ppl sck at dark and darker that it.. xD dungeonborne is terribly bad PvP and the PvE is fking bored.... this game is for bad ppl that it xD
Both games suck ass. Simplistic boring combat
I agree and am very sad about it. The concept is so cool, to the point where I occasionally play db or dnd for that reason alone, but I can never play for long before the shitty Skyrim combat bores me.
Dont compare that shit with dark and darker please.
Dark and Darker is dogshit
