Quality goes down and down, Game of thrones season 1-5 were fantastic, after that it became shell of former self, same with dance of the dragons, season 1 was fantastic season 4 was garbage, Duncan's armor look cheap and I don't expect much from this series

@saskk2290 the actor playing Dunk is 6'4. Dunk is supposed to be 6'11. I understand there are not a lot of 6'11 people, bug 6'4 is tall, but they would have difficulty with other characters. Since you couldn't cast another actor as tall or taller than Dunk.

The books are written by third party accounts. The shows are supposed to be what really happened in contrast to the prospectives of mushroom and the maesters

HOTD delivered great dialogue and two great episodes with beautiful action like the red sowing and rooks rest. The issues were with Daemon and Alicent, and the erasure of Nettles in place of Rhaena taking her story. Perhaps there should have indeed been two episodes more, when the 9 would have a big battle with major deaths and the 10 would wrap the story with rhaenyra taking king's landing. But there were budget constraints and writer's strikes during production. Whay they managed to deliver must be appreciated and criticized equally. They made mistaked, but the shwo is still top tear in quality and writing. It is a vast improvement from the later seasons of GOT.

I agree I would like to see it however I don't think it's appropriate. The whole point is that everyone no matter what timeline everyone sees Aegon as this legendary mythic figure. Not to mention the stakes wouldn't be very high as it's just Aegon dicking on everyone and even non book readers know the conclusion of the story.

To anyone who loves dunk and egg, guess what, Ryan Condal is executive producer for this show. Which means most likely in episode 1, egg will see a vision of the white walkers and realizes he should be king and pave the way for the prince that was promised.
The Dunk and Egg stories are 3 of my favorite G.R.R.M. novellas. I listen to them regularly and I'm looking forward to seeing these characters come to life in this new HBO GAME OF THRONES series. I just hope George is able to provide the additional stories he has mentioned in passing that he has planned for the duo. Fingers crossed.
Robert's rebellion would be epic I hope HBO realise it aswell, they could also show the storming of pyke when Robert squashed the greyjoy rebellion once he'd claim the throne and was missing the thrill of war
They have got to be planning a show that takes place after GOT, yes the Jon one was canceled but all it takes is one call from a producer and suddenly a show is back on the table. Seems like they are really reluctant to do something without source material as a foundation though which is understandable
A sequel series is the ONLY show that would gain the mass appeal and viewing figures that the original series had ... Get the best writers, and make something that maybe starts to repair the damage that the final two seasons of GOT created. A return to that era with those surviving characters is the only concept I'm really excited about. HOTD just feels flat and sterile, and this upcoming show looks the same. I personally think that HBO cannot afford to have more than one big budget GOT series being made at any given time, so we won't see anything ambitious at least until HOTD has ended.

Old Valyria, The First Men & The Children Of The Forest, The Kings Of Winter, what happened after GOT …. Just a few ideas. There are so many mysteries and different types of magic in GOT they really are spoilt for choice. We need a series set in the North now.
I would love to see a show on the century of blood. It would give us a taste of old Valyria and a glimpse of early house Targaryen and pre-conquest Westeros
The Storyline takes place 89 years before game of thrones series starts. Before the birth of daenerys targaryen and her dragons Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal. By the time the knight of the seven kingdom starts Dragons are already extinct
I would withhold judgement until you read the short stories they are based on. In my opinion it's some of GRRM's best writing. And if HBO tries to shoehorn in dragons to this story I know I will be very disappointed.
GOT would’ve been amazing without a single dragon. Most of the best battles had very little to do with dragons. Honestly, you could even argue that dragons take away a lot of the budget for the actual battle.
There could be a big battle scene if they show a flashback of the Battle of the Redgrass Field (I really hope they do!). Have to think they will since it is a major part of The Sworn Sword.
The biggest unrest among the Fans is why the Showrunners are cutting the whole in to lesser episodes... GoT universe has been the Golden Goose for HBO... And still they give lesser episodes and the HoTD S2 was also been teaser of S3...
As far as a more greater anticipation of all the would be TV series adaptation, I'll rather, would prefer and are way more excited for "Aegon the conqueror" show, or even a movie since there would be a hell of a lot of Dragon scenes and their backgrounds. Especially the most famous and touted Targaryen Dragon, Balerion "The Black Dread".
I'm pumped for this and really any show based on westeros. I feel that Roberts rebellion would be hard to cast, since game of thrones ended, they'd have to recast everyone we saw in game of thrones. If they could get the same cast it would be pretty awesome
That Trial of Seven is going to be as astonishing as the 3 dragon battle over Rook’s rest! That means at least 14 really competent stunt persons at the same time, same combat sequence. I wonder who will be Steely Pate the armorer, or Egg’s mostly drunk brother Daeron. I just hope our Dunk is as gangly and engaging as he is depicted in the illustrations for the book. Tanselle looks lovely!
I have about 100 pages left in a knight of the seven kingdoms and its really good. Hopefully the show is too but im most interested in the show about Aegon the conqueror if it ever gets made

Peter was a great choice for Duncan, He can do comedy and dramatic roles
Sam Spruell playing as Targaryen. this will really be a sight worth seeing. He is a great actor

The biggest unrest among the Fans is why the Showrunners are cutting the whole in to lesser episodes... GoT universe has been the Golden Goose for HBO... And still they give lesser episodes and the HoTD S2 was also been teaser of S3...

As far as a more greater anticipation of all the would be TV series adaptation, I'll rather, would prefer and are way more excited for "Aegon the conqueror" show, or even a movie since there would be a hell of a lot of Dragon scenes and their backgrounds. Especially the most famous and touted Targaryen Dragon, Balerion "The Black Dread".
I'm pumped for this and really any show based on westeros. I feel that Roberts rebellion would be hard to cast, since game of thrones ended, they'd have to recast everyone we saw in game of thrones. If they could get the same cast it would be pretty awesome

That Trial of Seven is going to be as astonishing as the 3 dragon battle over Rook’s rest! That means at least 14 really competent stunt persons at the same time, same combat sequence. I wonder who will be Steely Pate the armorer, or Egg’s mostly drunk brother Daeron. I just hope our Dunk is as gangly and engaging as he is depicted in the illustrations for the book. Tanselle looks lovely!
I hope there is a two season lead up before anything happens in this show also!
I'm excited for this. Watching HOTD last episode i was a little disappointed that that was all they gave us.
I have about 100 pages left in a knight of the seven kingdoms and its really good. Hopefully the show is too but im most interested in the show about Aegon the conqueror if it ever gets made
I saw that they are writing the script for an Aegon The Conquerer series. I want to see that more than anything else!

Need a show on blackfyre rebellion too. Maybe they could just make a show by the name of bloodraven, showing his life and his journey to the wall and becoming the three eyed raven in the end. That would be amazing!
