- In this video, I review the Batking solid mahogany-topped tenor scale ukulele. It is very well built with an excellent fit and finish. The sound is warm with decent resonance and a fairly balanced tone. It has a classy slotted headstock and a nice neck profile. For full disclosure, Musoo, the parent company of Batking ukuleles, sent me this instrument at no cost for the purpose of doing a review.

I have a vision in my head of Batman hanging this uke on a hook in the Batcave. LOL. That headstock & cutaway are super cool BTW.
LOL! This instrument does have some nice features!
one of the best and detailed review on youtube great job.
Thanks! You are too kind! Thanks also for watching and commenting. Be sure to subscribe and check out my other videos!
Great job, as usual, Steve! That scalloped cutaway is appearing on more instruments all the time. I love seeing these other brands that I have never heard of! I hope you're having a great summer and that the heat isn't too oppressive in Texas!
Thanks, Chris! I’m looking forward to the day when I’m able to use the scalloped cutaway! LOL!
Great review. I like the cutaway and bevel on the body for arm comfort. Overall it looks like a nice instrument. I'm glad it came with a shoulder strap. My first ukulele was a moderately expensive one but it didn't come with a shoulder strap so I played it for several years until I added one. Much easier to play even when sitting down.
Thanks! This instrument has some really nice features! I don't usually use a strap but I think I want to try using one more.
Another great review mate. I was keen to purchase one as I really liked the sound and look. I went to the Amazon link and they said they were not in stock. I was wondering if you know the retail price and if you know where I can order one. Keep up the reviews, I really appreciate them. 👍
Sorry, mate. I don’t know if they are available at the moment. I went to the Musoo page as well but did not see it there either. I hope they stock them soon!
So sir tbh im a beginner dint even know single thing but seeing my future benefits i think tenor sill be helpfull for me rather than concert so should i go with that and i want totaly natural sound to vibe so should i buy wirh equaliser or not ? But id think I’m gonna play it on speakers so can i buy this please if you want to suggest something else then you can go for that please it will be very helpful❤
Hi. There are lots of choices available for tenor scale ukuleles. If you want something that sounds good either acoustically or plugged into an amplifier, I suggest you watch my review of the Aklot AKET26 ukulele. ruclips.net/video/dgXU7s-6LgU/видео.html Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@stevesstrings5243 Thankyou for your views sir 🤌🏻
Same factory makers as flight ukuleles?
Interesting! How did you find that out? I’m aware that a factory may build for multiple brands but I’m not sure how to find out which builds for whom. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Does this ukulele have “X” bracing?
No. The top has fan bracing. This is typical for ukuleles and classical guitars. X-bracing is typically used on steel string acoustic guitars. It makes the top stiffer to withstand the higher string tension.
@@stevesstrings5243 thank you
How much price ?
Check description. There is an Amazon link. I think they are $100US. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nice review Steve.
HPL is made from layered kraft paper, epoxy resins and high pressure. The most famous name would be Formica.
I actually did not care for the sound of this instrument.
I almost got one recently for a project and now am glad I didn't.
Thanks for the review you saved me some $. I will look elsewhere for the project ukulele.🙂
Thanks, Daniel! I’m glad you found it useful!
The rosette is likely abalone.
You may be right! Although, abalone typically has colors such as blue or green, and this does not have those colors. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@stevesstrings5243 yes, you're right about the colours.
