Lived here with my two Sons for their teen years and then some. These are some of their Best memories and mine! Lillington is a Beautiful and one of the Best places to raise your children! I really do miss the Lillington Gardens!
Lived in Lillington for my whole life. The people who say they hate Lillington don't know what home is! The country feel, the woods, the river! I miss Dairy Freeze so much, it is now being replaced by Scooters. Lillington is the best, who's with me!
Nicely done. I moved to Lillington in March to escape (at least for now) the gentrification that is skyrocketing rents in Raleigh and other cities. You are correct about the very good restaurants. I need to check out that brewery.

Using multiple shots several times is a great way to fill space, also you forgot to mention that this armpit of a town is about 30 years behind culturally. If you’re not straight, white and old, you’re not welcome. Especially at Wombles, the local bullshit hard ware store, where they do dirty under handed illegal things all the time, just ask the owner Ray.
Worked here for 2.5 years. One of the worst places on earth. If you're not "from here" you are looked at as an outsider. Some of the most "good 'ol boy" club people I've ever met. Steer clear of pretty much the entire county. If you didn't grow up there, they don't want you there. Period.

They were not willing to sell their souls to become part of its good ol boy club. BTW, this is the first time, at age 67, that I am not a resident of a capital which is very inclined to good ol boy stuff. I grew up in Columbia, lived briefly in Jackson MS, then returned to Columbia until I came to Raleigh 21 years ago.
