My wife drives a 2006 Envoy Denali with the 5.3 and 4x4, it has good power and a nice V8 growl, people ask all the time, "nice SUV, is it new?" I am like no but thank you, its 12 years old and going strong. We'll never trade it in, we love it too much!
Totally agree my 4.2 v6 has 239,000 miles & has been tough as nails! Had to replace transmission because of a certain dealer(not gmc) neglecting to address an issue they noticed but didn't inform me until I had to repair the transmission. Now have to do tie rod & suspension repair but that's normal with potholes & rough roads! I would love to get another one but they've only got the Acadia which is ok but my '03 Envoy Xl is bigger!!
i like the interior. nice and cozy. wood trim looks very nice. and thats a proper looking steering wheel. this is what i could call the baby gmc yukon. nice.
Thanks Kyle. Great in depth review, your attention to detail is great. Showing the sound of a horn if a window goes down a bit when the door opens and all the small nice touches. Others should learn from you.
Are you sure GMC can sometimes be vintage because I don't know if some of these season 5 GMC cars made by GM or from the Buick and GMC store at that store they sell GMC vehicles and Buick vehicles.
I currently have a 06 Trailblazer (same thing as the envoy mainly) has the 5.3 Vortec and is 4x4 and this thing has been a hell of a good truck in the almost two years I've had it .only have had to do routine maintenance and has 190k . Also had a 04 envoy with the 4.2 straight 6 and that thing was a great truck too
Denali is the branding GMC puts on all of its highest trim line trucks. It includes the Denali badges, the signature grill and a few other high end features.
I'd take this over the Trailblazer SS you toured, just because this one is more luxurious and has a MUCH nicer interior. A big sacrifice in power, but this is a much nicer vehicle.
The Trailblazer and its counterparts would've been so much better if the interior had been updated mid cycle. We had an 08 model and the interior was so dated, especially compared every other Chevy model. But man that 4.2L was great!
It's weird that I notice things like this, but this is your third video to feature Apologize (Timbaland) playing on the radio. Must be a popular song there considering the short window you have the radios on!
I have one like this. Incredible power.. They missed a few things like self leveling rear end, compressor built in with hose to inflate tires. Did not mention the NAV system which it does have. BOSE stereo if off the charts good. Very smooth ride, quiet, lots of power and very comfortable. Not much space to put drinks etc up front. That is the only fault I have with it. Mine also has DVD in back and rear AC.
It’s 2021, and Envoys still don’t look that dated. Like when they came out with this remodel they looked futuristic almost, and today they still look great. Miss mine, most surprising thing was they turn on a dime! I drive a patriot now and that feels more like a boat than this ever did!
I know you've already done a QX56, and the gold one in this video probably isn't there anymore, but if you find yourself with nothing better to do (that's a joke) I would love to have a video on that one! My mom had one just like that and I miss that truck so much :)
Ive had my 05 Chevy Trailblazer LS(base model of the platform) for a number of years. After watching this I certainly wish I was driving this instead. That truck must be the top of the top of the platform. I guess it'll have to wait till mine dies or something.
@AllThingzVideo Its only for the northern midwest and northeast. And it is believed in cold climates there could be a gas leak I read it on the chicago tribune. You'll get a letter if you are believe to be affected. If not don't worry you're fine
Damn look at that thing spit and smoke! Is that normal? my old Buick did the same thing after sitting for a long time. Very nice car, however it seems a bit outdated for an 08, that key fob/remote is the same thing they included with some late 90's early 2000's cars. I wish GM used the same system Dodge/Chrysler has just come out with, it's incredible!
Got a 2007 Envoy Denali a few months ago with a 5.3 V8 and 60,000 miles. Bad rings and high oil consumption. The 5.3 with the AFM system that deactivates 4 of the cylinders is a bad idea. Luckily I got a new engine under warranty. Love every thing else about the Envoy.
Tom ShoemakerI can guarantee the engine trouble was due to owner neglect. GM LS motors only need regular maintenance & they could give you 500k miles or better
@saabkyle04 , I know u pronounce the car names right because the way u say it iz the way i say it because before i thought it was pronounced (EN-VOY) but you pronounce it (ON-VOY) so that iz the way i say it now

Had the privilege to drive one of these at my last company. It was hard to feather that gas pedal the truck was so powerful!
These envoys are a beast especially the inline 6 I have a 2004 it is really peppy and is super reliable

They are. I have a 2002 Envoy and it went muddin' and it roared out!
Even today it's still a power house. If we could pair it with a 5 or 6 speed auto it would be even more peppy.
i like the interior. nice and cozy. wood trim looks very nice. and thats a proper looking steering wheel. this is what i could call the baby gmc yukon. nice.
Thanks Kyle. Great in depth review, your attention to detail is great. Showing the sound of a horn if a window goes down a bit when the door opens and all the small nice touches. Others should learn from you.
For some reason, I just like the older GMCs better.
Lol u commented this when I was 4 and had an envoy Denali... as a child I love it...
I like the new ones because they’re all not big boats
My mom had 2 trailblazer LTs and one trailblazer ext. My grandma had a few envoys during that same time.
Same

Your trailblazer was the extended length one then to have the 5.3?
I have a Denali exactly like this one. It’s deceptively fast thanks to the V8 under the hood. It’s a good and reliable machine!
awesome review kyle, the denali's were always cool but, haha i literally saw the gas gauge go down a slot when u were revving it lol
Envoys are sweet trucks!
I have one and LOVE it!!
These trucks are terrific in the snow and ride like Cadillacs!!
rich655 very very true
I have the same engine on my 2006 TrailBlazer! 5.3 Vortec V8. Love it to death. thank you for sharing us the denali!!
I like these vehicles more! Terrific job bro.
Another great video Kyle, been waiting for this one for awhile now! Thanks!!
Sweet Denali! My dad's boss has one, his daughter drives it! Great vid as always Kyle!
Wow, very nice truck and that Vortec V8 sounds wicked!
Thanks for the video, buying an Envoy in the next couple of months.
the engine on the 2002-2009 GMC Envoy
Engine
4.2 L LL8 I6
5.3 L LM4 V8
I have an envoy denali 2002 I simply love it a beautiful line of the GMC
Original 2002 Envoy
love the version of the envoy
love that color too
Thanks!
This has been driving me crazy! I remember it getting a lot of airtime back in the day.
Denali is the branding GMC puts on all of its highest trim line trucks. It includes the Denali badges, the signature grill and a few other high end features.
I would love to have one of these very sharp looking SUV
I have an 09 Envoy Denali 4WD and it is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned.
Excellent video! The GMC's are cool SUV's!
This was my very first vehicle ever. 5:34 is a classic rock song too
I'd take this over the Trailblazer SS you toured, just because this one is more luxurious and has a MUCH nicer interior. A big sacrifice in power, but this is a much nicer vehicle.
Hey Kyle, you should do a series of videos where you try and find great budget cars :D
Love the honeycomb grill
The Trailblazer and its counterparts would've been so much better if the interior had been updated mid cycle. We had an 08 model and the interior was so dated, especially compared every other Chevy model. But man that 4.2L was great!
Loving that Denali Honeycomb Grille
I have a 2002 envoy with 200,100 miles and it's beautiful
Aall
I have envoy 2003 since 2009 great car 👍
As always, great review Kyle!
why is the door chime higher pitched than in most other GM vehicles? how do you change it if it is changeable?
@saabkyle04 oh my gawwdd! hahaha way to reveal the surprise! I so cannot wait!! You got me all excited now :D
It's weird that I notice things like this, but this is your third video to feature Apologize (Timbaland) playing on the radio. Must be a popular song there considering the short window you have the radios on!
gotta love v8!
Nice .. Keep going 👍
Why is the Dinger high pitched in this Envoy?
I have one like this. Incredible power.. They missed a few things like self leveling rear end, compressor built in with hose to inflate tires. Did not mention the NAV system which it does have. BOSE stereo if off the charts good. Very smooth ride, quiet, lots of power and very comfortable. Not much space to put drinks etc up front. That is the only fault I have with it. I think these did have self leveling rear air shocks.
Hey Kyle, have you seen any Volts or Leafs around?
It’s 2021, and Envoys still don’t look that dated. Like when they came out with this remodel they looked futuristic almost, and today they still look great. Miss mine, most surprising thing was they turn on a dime! I drive a patriot now and that feels more like a boat than this ever did!
i just love how they dressed up in denali trim....
Great Info. Thanks
I know you've already done a QX56, and the gold one in this video probably isn't there anymore, but if you find yourself with nothing better to do (that's a joke) I would love to have a video on that one! My mom had one just like that and I miss that truck so much :)
i see corvette back there. can u do a vid of that vette
Ive had my 05 Chevy Trailblazer LS(base model of the platform) for a number of years. After watching this I certainly wish I was driving this instead. That truck must be the top of the top of the platform. I guess it'll have to wait till mine dies or something.
The normal Envoy 5-seater and Envoy XL 7-seater SUVs look better than the XUV!
@talldude123 No the Aztek was related to the Buick Rendezvous
will you do a review of that tl in the background?
Any Pontiacs coming up? ;)
Awesome!
Hey Kyle, i don't think it wouldn't hurt to add fuel economy figures?
@67roadhugger the song is sharp dressed man by zz top
Does the 2008 come with that navigation system ?
the 2002-2009 GMC Envoy was assembled in
Moraine, Ohio, United States
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States
No problem, it did take me a minute to remember the title, I hadn't heard it in long time..
@hehh543 it's a 4 speed automatic. My 2006 TrailBlazer has the same engine and has a 4 speed automatic so I assume it is a 4 speed.
If you haven't already done the Saturn sky convertible please review it.
I love the Envoy because it is nice and clean those are beautiful trucks I love GM
Why didn't you show everyone the air compressor in the rear?
@04smallmj which ones? Not me. That's why for a long time Japanese cars were the best selling cars over here up until last year.
can u start posting the websites for the dealers if they have one please
Very nice SUV!
Can you do the Acura TL please? =)
Hey Kyle, can you review this cars ( if you find them...) Audi A7 Sportback, 2011 Kia Sportage,VW Amarok. Thanks
@AllThingzVideo
Its only for the northern midwest and northeast. And it is believed in cold climates there could be a gas leak I read it on the chicago tribune. You'll get a letter if you are believe to be affected. If not don't worry you're fine
@saabkyle04 Cold!? You're probably warm down there in NC LOL Here in ON, Canada it's soposed to be around 17 degrees tomorrow!
@saabkyle04 this is what they had: chevy trailblazer, gmc envoy, buick rainier, oldsmobile bravada (2002-2004), saab 9-7X and isuzu ascender
I absoutly love this car. I want my parents to get it so bad!!!!
2008 GMC Envoy Denali [5.3L V8]
Anyone know the name of the song from 5:49 to 6:15? It was in a previous video, Kyle's Grand Prix sedan vid as well. Thanks!
2006-2007 gmc envoy and chevrolet trailblazer have a recall right now 250,000 cars. In the midwest and north east states...
I have an 06. What is the recall?
Does this carchave a third row?
Damn look at that thing spit and smoke! Is that normal? my old Buick did the same thing after sitting for a long time.

@toyota4life
Same boat! Never seen a video by Kyle before it was uploaded! I shall be the first lie =)
@talldude123 same as the buick BUT based off the montana platform
@genesislogan00 Because it was just uploaded and is still processing.
Why do you always close the sunroof/sun roof shade let the light in the Cabin
You know some people really get on my nerves when they mis pronounce Envoy. Kyle pronounced it correct, but some people say IN-voy
@GalenMacziewski95 Thanks!
could pleas do toyota lans cruiser ??
@saabkyle04 , I know u pronounce the car names right because the way u say it iz the way i say it because before i thought it was pronounced (EN-VOY) but you pronounce it (ON-VOY) so that iz the way i say it now
What's the price
@saabkyle04 pontiac did not have one, but izuzu did.
Why does it have two fog lamp switches
1 turns on the other is for to wipe the headlights
Another great powwow car
