I did find myelf stranded without battery power, and I find the bike very bikable without power. Did 10 km, including uphill to get home, and that was really doable. Far better then other ebikes I've tried without battery power.

I am a bicycle mechanic myself and couple days ago i put one together for a customer. Took me little over an hour In total incl fixing a lock on it and make it a good bike. Spoke tension wasnt good out of the box , brakes needed alignment. Surprisingly the belt tension was good. On the Average its a pretty good bicycle. Although i have my doubts about availibilty of spare parts electronics being kingmeter and everything looks Tenways specific. Only annoying thing was while riding it and putting some force on the steer the bike makes cracking sound. I later found out it came to torsion of the frame where the battery sits .The torsion makes the frame rub the battery.

i would reach out to them, my frame is pretty stiff without any cracking. Shouldnt be like that oO

@@TechMagnet You can see and feel the gap between top of baterry and frame move wen frontbrake is applied and and the steer is pushed and pulled. Same as we do for testing for play on head bearings. Not much force needs to be applied. I have seen a lot of in tube battery bicycles last 14yrs . Boch powertube Sparta Ion, Koga I live in Netherlands lots of bike brands and bikes here.Never had issues like this. The frame is also kind of a boxed type wich is not symatrical (see shape of the battery) maybe prob is due to that.

No noises on my bike, and I’m NOT a bike mechanic, and it only took me an hour…

Front wheel and saddle have a quick release system. Here in Netherlands if you park this bike outside you will find it without a saddle and front wheel in a minute.

Do you think the bike still rides comfortably for someone who is 192 cm? Looks like a great bike but the manufactor says it goes until 190 cm and the bike seems a bit smallish? What do you think?

Thanks for the great review. How is it doing uphill? You only touched the subject. I'm thinking about getting it for my wife and on her way to work she has a short but steep climb (~13%) around 200m long. Is it possible to do drive the bike up there without too much exertion or getting off the bike?

The saddle can go higher? Looking at your legs you're sitting very low.

It not having gears because of the belt is bs though. An internal gear system can perfectly be used on a bike like that and is the most used option for any chain type anyways.

you would need a front or mid motor...

be carefull in case things go wrong cause this is a delivery from outside the EU.
If you do not like the bike or will have issues you will be lost or stranded cause it will be tough and expensive to send it back.
We had issues with the previous one for men and never forget: where will you get spare parts once things are broken ?
Our repair shop got mad and went crazy to get things right, get parts and fix them.
This is no fun to deal with a company from outside the EU and translate what you bike mechanis is telling you back and forth.
Removeable is also a must have but regarding compliance papers were missing too.

nope they are chinese but they ship in containers to europe. if you checked the website you can see ships from netherlands ;) Replacementparts may be longer waiting time, but many of the drivechain parts or basic brake parts you get here too, i do my bike maintenance myself, bike shops with unknown brands rip you off

Great overview best one I’ve seen yet since you covered more details on assembly and operation. I’ve had two other Ebikes my current is a model E by Electric Bike Co and is also single speed cruiser style but I wanted to investigate one with a belt drive and lighter so I just bought SGO800S a few days ago but it hasn’t arrived. The biggest difference and possibly a negative on Tenways is it doesn’t have a throttle like my current single speed but your review encouraged me to give it a try.

Ok no one asked yet, checked all comments. Toddler seat? It is possible to attach a child seat to the back? I'm still planning to buy this or Gazelle EasyFlow E-bike which is more conventional but amazing sitting and riding position, way easier and probably cheaper repair service and parts but also way more expensive. So my question is all about toddler seat, since i'll buy it for my wife (after she has a test ride for sure :) )

Anyone know other similar alternatives to this e-bike? I love the belt-drive but $2K is a little bit too much for my budget.

Great bike , rides smooth ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing
