While you were in there changing the hanger bearing why did you not change the universal joint right behind it everything else is new but that one universal that could have been the vibration that wore out the carrier bearing just trying to help😊

This also could be the issue, but it looks good and doesn't have a play

Thanks for the video. I'm having the same issue with my 2008 cts DI AWD. There's no issue under normal driving. I can press the accelerator to about 80-85% and there's no symptoms. But when I press the accelerator to the floor 100% and hold it there, I get a grinding/clunking down the middle of my car. It feels like it runs right under the arm rest. I can get up to highway speeds no issue and actually get good take off and acceleration. It's just when I "gun" it to the floor. I'm just going to get the carrier bearing replaced with upgraded bolts and o rings. Watching this video along with numerous others has me convinced this is my issue. Lastly....no matter what i get no codes tho....is that normal?

Yes, it's just a normal wear, you will not get any codes of replacing something like this, you just need to inspect the bottom of the car and find the issue. I would check all ruber mounts, and if possible replace them all, because they may be bad but you would not see it unless you give a load to it.

I love the bike tube idea for the bellows repair, very cool. What support bearing part number are you using for this and was it AWD or RWD?

It is rear wheel drive, I don't remember the part number, but you can search on ebay.com just check if it fits your vehicle. On ebay.com they have fitment
